nothing really, maybe fasting 48 hours but that's far from extreme unless you do something like >>77194295I just did some light resistance training during it and I felt fine, anyway for me the easiest way to lose weight is OMAD because fasting 24 hours takes very little effort and you still get the satisfaction of eating a big meal every day. Extreme measures are kinda anthitetical to weight loss unless you just have to shed the last two pounds asap or something like that, the more effortless and sustainable a method is the better

If I eat a big meal I just lift with lower rest sets in 30min or so after to preemptively lower the surplus that I'll be digesting.Eating beyond the actual 100% bulk benefits or cutting hard just ruins bodycomp and/or progress speed significantly. Most people worry about bodyfat% and count every calorie when you are simply changing your metabolism or inaccurately measuring the energy value of food and exercise. I never got why noobs post so much advice without success. If they didn't and I had advice like this starting out I'd be way ahead.

Your bodycomp will not lean out as fast unless you can listen to your body at a higher level. Low insulin for extended times causes fat storage upon a lesser surplus. And eating bigger meals less often is going to do exactly that. Plus performance and recovery will lessen, less if any muscle growth even right after a big meal. If that's the only way you can bring yourself to make progress as a mental fortitude thing it's one thing, but there's 0 real reason to fast besides to stave off insulin resistance or whatever pre diabetes symptoms are.

And if you are doing OMAD but you're planning to for example go on a long hike the next day I'd consider getting an extra meal for the occasion
