Let’s say you’re on an upper/lower, full body or ppl split and have multiple muscle groups to hit. What’s the maximum amount of exercises you’d do during that workout before you find it useless to continue?

>>77194499I do a 4 day split program - chest/tris, back/bis, shoulders/abs and legs. I generally get 5-7 exercises, 3-4 sets each, and I mix them up so I'm not hitting the same exact muscle every 5 days - e.g., doing flat bench one day and Incline another day
>>771944995 or 6 sets to failure per body part spread across 2 exercises. Usually my performance tanks like 50% by the 6th set. So on pull days I might do 4 or 5 exercises total split between upper and lower back.
I go to the gym 3 days a week and do PPL
i do full body workout every workout
I do 2 upper body workouts a week2 presses (currently incline dumbbell and chest dips)2 pulls (currently weighted pullups and chest-supported db rows)2 delt raises (rear and side)3 sets each
I do upper lower or full body and I do 3 or 4 exercises, usually 2 compounds and 1 or two 2 isolations
3 maximim per day, if you dont count warmups, and i always do mcgill big3 for cooldowns.
