Hey /fit/ newfag here. I feel like all is lost Im about to be 27. 5’9 175lbs BMI 25.8, I recently found Christ and want to see the full potential of my body God provided me. But I feel like Im too old and lack the Test I had when I was a younger guy. Do I start with a hard calorie deficit? I live out in the backwoods now so I have plenty of time but no gym, only have two 20lb dumbells atm. Is all lost?

As a beginner, you need to see progress, that you can do more than you could last week. That feeling will keep you motivated for the first six months. The next six months, your motivation will come from seeing more and more definition as you lose weight and see those muscles. After that, it becomes part of your life, and you won’t stop, unless you date a bpd whore. Then I'm afraid you will acquire a long lasting mental illness and depression.

Tbh you can get a pretty good physique without touching weights as long as youre lifting hard (body)weight

If you can sets of burpees consistently you will drop the weight fast. Something else that a lot of backbiting bitter little shits on this website wont tell you is that starting from where you are at has advantages. As you start to lose the weight you might be surprised how muscular your legs are, for one. For two anything you do consistently will work. You could do nothing but pushups and have noticeable results fairly quickly. Good luck bro
