I'm trying to weigh up the relative pros and cons of living a shorter and more hedonistic life vs a longer and more depressing one. I'm 32, alone, bald, average (unremarkable) face, 5'7". Only thing I have going for me is a decent jawline. Lost weight from 220lbs to 140lbs. Now thin-passing and look better in clothes but my stomach is fucked with sag and stretch marks. At this point my personality would have to be doing the heavy lifting for me to pull but that's just as fucked as everything else because I have the tism and social anxiety and other shit. I feel empty all the time and legitimately the only time I feel not like kysing myself is when binge eating. It at least makes it so that I feel slightly engaged if I try to do something like play a game. Otherwise I feel nothing. I know what I'm supposed to feel (for instance, if a part of a game or film is funny and should make you laugh) but I don't feel it. Every day is like this for me, constant emptiness and recognition of some kind of felt experience I'm missing out on. Over time I feel more and more withdrawn and disconnected from everything. I keep the discipline with my food and exercise because I tell myself food doesn't help and I need to accept my internal state. But rawdogging the emptiness has reduced my quality of life even more than binge eating ever did. It's fucked man. Sorry for the vent.

Just weighed myself this morning, down to 274. December 2024 I was at 411 pounds. I’m at the home stretch, just gotta drop that last hundred and I’ll be at my target weight. Keep in mind this is PURE cico, I limit myself to 1500 calories a day (though I’m usually taking in 1200, I don’t have an appetite anymore). I dont have a special diet other than just trying to maximize protein and minimize calories, a lot of what I eat is just lean cuisine and cleaneatz. I haven’t been exercising at all this whole time but recently I started using the gym at my work, I can do 1.5 miles on the treadmill at 4.5 before I’m wiped out. I’m not really concerned with physique, I’m just running because it’s nice. Overall I feel good, I’m dropping a little over 3 pounds a week with very little fluctuation, I only had a couple of plateaus and the longest was for two weeks. You can do it, just be push yourself and don’t overcomplicate shit.
I used to think that in order to lose weight, all I needed to do was have the discipline and willpower to eat less of the poison garbage slop that I was eating. Turns out that when you start eating real food, the weight just melts off you.
