What the Research Actually Shows
High fiber can modestly raise SHBG in some contexts — Several observational studies (including the Massachusetts Male Aging Study) and small intervention trials found that higher fiber intake (especially when paired with low fat) was associated with higher SHBG and somewhat lower total or free testosterone. This effect is more pronounced in postmenopausal women and in men on very low-fat diets.

The effect is often small and confounded — Many of these studies combined high fiber with low fat or calorie restriction. When fat intake is adequate and protein is high (like in your plan), the SHBG-raising effect of fiber is much weaker or absent. High protein intake tends to lower SHBG, which can offset fiber's potential impact.

During a cut with limited fats — This is where the concern has some merit. A very low-fat + high-fiber diet can increase SHBG and reduce free testosterone more noticeably. However, that's more a problem with not hitting proper fat macros. A diet that isn't extremely low-fat (maintain ≥55 g fat most days, and higher on some days) is fine. High protein (100+ g) is a strong protective factor.
