Farming turns you in to a manlet
>>77200070The opposite is true, as we can see from modern hunter gatherers.HG = low IQ, low test manlet because you don't have access to a steady source of calories, so your body only works in low gear to avoid starvation.Farming fixes this, which is why farmers BTFO'd hunters and became the dominant culture on all continents.
>>77200070ok. I'm still going to eat plants and animals.
>>77200070Unlike the made up buzzfeed article here >>77200092 we can also observe this in modern populations The descendants of pastoralists and hunter gatherers are always robust, tall and smarter and also rule the populations descending from farmers and slaves. Even jews were mostly pastoralist, at least the actual hebrews.
>>77200092You’re a retard. Don’t you realise that wild food was much more abundant thousands of years ago compared to now? That’s why there’s overwhelming evidence that Hunter gatherers were tall and strong, and with bigger brains than people today. Farmers won due to ability to have large groups and social stratification allowing for common projects (I.e, armies)>>77200232Hunter gatherers ate plants and animals too, you stupid retard. Is this entire board mentally retarded?
>>77200259>Farmers wonThey didn't, they only absorbed hunter gatherers once city states became a thing and the HG that werent absorbed became nomads and pastoralistsFarmer societies always devolved into slave societies due to the high demand in manpower and i wouldnt be surprised if the absorbed HG enslaved the rest
>>77200070
>>77200259>>77200262and yet all the hunter gatherers are DEAD and you (a farmer descendant) CONQUERED the entire planetshort underdeveloped fragile farmer is the peak build for humans
>>77200070>>77200242>The descendants of pastoralists and hunter gatherers are always robust, tall and smarter and also rule the populations descending from farmers and slavesSo true! Look at the super strong intelligent hunter gatherer in this picture!
>>77201220compare with the neighboring niggers that eat grain.
>>77200242>The descendants of pastoralists and hunter gatherers are always robust, tall and smarter and also rule the populations descending from farmers and slaves.Lmao, is this peak American education?
>>77200070farming is the biggest posture goblin there is so it's not surprising
Elephant herds used to look like this just 70-80 years ago, one can only imagine how dense macrofauna was prior to the first agricultural revolutionUsed to be leopard seals that lived in rivers and lakes like wolf packs.
>>77200070Hunter gatherers are shorter typically. I think it is partly selected for, as the best hunters aren’t necessarily the tallest, and the women don’t express preferences for height so much as good character and hunting capabilities.Farming provides a reliable source of calories that scales with the number of workers, and supports much larger populations. It has different tradeoffs and selection effects and once animals and dairy are involved then you can afford to be much larger.>>77200092I don’t think the posts about low IQ are necessarily correct either. These populations are primitive but in a way deep. They really understand the environment they’re in mechanistically (to the level of detail necessary to function in it) and are not content with explanations of things that aren’t mechanistic. You’re going to have to explain to them how the music gets in the radio, and it will have to make sense. These people can hunt huge animals, and are excellent detectives when it comes to the business of animals. They can identify and safely prepare hundreds of plant species. They are hardy and impressive people, yet they fall immediately when they modernise, and end up as you would expect of agricultural sub-saharans
>>77203360I remember reading in a book that farming required sedentary. Sedentarity enabled higher natality, i.e. more mouths to feed, i.e. more crops and livestock to grow, making them slaves to more farming. Inhabitants of the first cities had worse nutrition than their HG contemporaries, hence the shorter height (and teeth, and musculoskeletal problems). Hunter gatherers considered them silly, which is still true to some extent. It's been some 40k years our brains didn't significantly evolve.
>>77200259The board genuinely does have people who are clinically retarded posting.
>>77203552The teeth thing is interesting because european premodern agricultural populations like the alpine swiss (if you trust Weston Price’s coverage) had perfectly decent teeth on a diet of coarse rye bread and dairy products. Of course this may be distinct from e.g. a kind of early agriculture built around grain porridge with little variety. But I’m unsure whether agricultural products are strictly going to cause dental issues.
