No one cared who I was until I put on the mask.

>>77207174i want this badly, but i don't wanna do a sleep study and get a prescription. such a hassle. all the builders around me swear by these improving recovery like nothing else.
>You're a big dog>For you
>>77207214Try starting with breathe rite strips and nasal irrigation before bed, it made a huge difference in my sleep/recovery since I used to get night time congestion. If you actually have sleep apnea it may not be enough though
>>77207214I started dreaming again after using it and it cleared up 80% of my brain fog.

My Apple Watch says no abnormalities detected in my sleep but I often wake up in different weird positions indicating im moving a ton in my sleep and literally some times wake up from not breathing so I just ordered an at home sleep test for $190
>>77207355My AHI was 24 when I got tested. Which means around every 2 minutes per hour I'm not breathing correctly. Every 2 minutes, during a night. And it's only considered "moderate" sleep apnea.
>>77207174that's a stretch, lamebane. nobody cared after you put it on either.
>>77207174I did a sleep study and it turns out I don't have sleep apneamy sleep quality is garbage still. Have been using a nasal dilator for 3 days. I hope it gets better
>>77207214I thought I had sleep apnea but I did a sleep study and they said I didn't.
bodybuilding is a meme kekyou build muscle to convince women to have sex with you, only to find out you cant breath
>>77207174I've got an "apnea risk" sized neck but don't have apnea, sleep gr8. Sounds like skill issues lol.
>No one cared who I was until I was put on a fast

>>77207214Untreated sleep apnea will literally kill you, but I guess that's better than the "hassle of getting a prescription."But then again on 4chan, "hassle" = "I have severe social anxiety and am too scared to leave the house and go see a doctor and have no money or insurance anyway."
I went for a sleep study and "failed it". The doctor didn't seem concerned with my symptom of 24/7 debilitating fatigue. I went and bought a CPAP off Facebook marketplace. That was 2 years ago. I have had tremendous improvement on it. I no longer wake up tired. I will be getting jaw surgery next to cure my sleep apnea. This will advance my maxilla (upper jaw) making my airway 3x bigger so I can breathe properly at both day and night. This is all necessary because as a kid I was a non-stop mouthbreather which as everyone knows destroys the facial development.
>>77207948Convince?
>>77207794There is a chance the test was wrong. You should probably purchase a cpap to atleast try. There is no harm.
>>77208349it's a 1k purchase, I better be fucking sureand aren't these things usually prescribed? Can it do more harm than good?
>>77207174lol i lold
>>77208342>as a kid I was a non-stop mouthbreatherdidn't your parents tell you not to do that?
>>77207213Everything???
>>77208696No and that was their largest mistake as parents
>>77208338i don't think i have apnea nor social anxiety. just a hassle to make a visit and spend a boatload of money for something you could get free of prescription in other countries. i do get 8-9 hours of sleep per day, but i do wake up occasionally with dry throat, but i don't sleep with mouth open according to gf. i just wanna try it for that extra recovery juice.
>>77207214Do a Lofta at-home sleep study. They're not very expensive, and they will pretty much throw a CPAP machine at you because they want you to buy all your shit from them (but you can refuse and buy the machine/supplies cheaper elsewhere). Don't overpay for one of the wifi ones either, get one with an SD card and you can use a free program called OSCAR to monitor your sleep metrics. In my opinion, though, CPAPs are really fucking unpleasant to sleep with to the point where whatever benefits I got from it were offset by how much it sucked. It's uncomfortable having a bunch of shit strapped to your face/head and a tube dangling off you. If you use the nasal masks, you can't yawn without air blasting out of your throat, and if you open your mouth while you sleep that'll keep waking you up. Getting up to piss is an annoying ordeal since you gotta shut the machine off, unclip yourself, and look at your dumbass mask in the mirror every time.I probably should have given it more time, but I sold mine (lost a fair bit on it too). Hated being strapped to that shit every night.
>>77207174The sleep study is worth it, especially if you live in a first world country that has free Healthcare. They hook up 8000 wires up to your whole body and expect you to sleep. I told the guy theres no fucking way so I went outside and smoked a joint to sleep for like 3 hours. I woke up at 4am and told them im done.Once you get the cpap machine tho, it fixes alot of problems. Brain fog gone, no afternoon tiredness, no more headaches and chest pains in the morning. Once you get the machine, it does take a couple months of experimenting with different masks and air pressure to hit the sweet spot
>>77207174You're a big guy.
>>77207214Samsung galaxu watch for 200 or 300 bucks has FDA proven sleep measureit shows blood oxygen, bp, pulse, bodyfat, etc. It's FDA proven to detect medium or severe sleep apneaIt's quite accurate, for blood oxygen it's very accurate. Rem sleep it's quite accurate. Deep sleep duration it's semi accurate
>>77207174I started dreaming again after using it, not even kidding.
>>77208960>I dont even have sleep apnea but want a CPAP anyway because its magical and will make me jacked.Oh I see now.You are a retard. Life must be hard for you.
