How much does it really even matter?
>>
for me 5 is too much, 3 too little
4 feels like golden middle
>>

4? what do you do on 4? Push pull legs push? For 5 its push pull legs push pull for 6 its pplppl for 3 its ppl
>>
>>77209161
push pull legs upper
This is very intelligent and most people don't get it, but it's the new meta
>>
>>77209153
For me 6 is too much, 4 is too little, and 5 is just right

>>77209149
If you're recovering well and making progress, what you're doing is working. Don't overthink it. Like many things most of the debates are just so program shills, coaches, etc. have something to yap about
>>
who /2workoutsaweek/ here?

I like 5. I have done every popular split at this point depending on how busy my life was (3x Fullbody, 4x UL, 6x PPL) I’m on PPLUL now, I take a rest day after each leg day, it’s perfect for me.

I am curious about higher frequency though, such as ULULU, I know that some more advanced naturals recommend this split till you require higher volumes per session to grow. I seem to have been doing fine on 2x frequency my whole lifting career so far though lol.
>>
>>77209149
6: moderate intensity 5: bro split, 3: high intensity

if you have a shit body, which you do, do 6.
>>
I've been doing 4 day Upper/Lower split for a while now. Gonna throw an arm day for the 5th workout of the week.
I would like for my arms to be bigger.
Monday: Upper (Bench)
Tuesday: Lower (Squat)
Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: Upper (OHP)
Friday: Lower (Deads)
Saturday: Arms
>>

>lift less more often
>do way too much of staples like incline bench
If you bench way too much over a few months it's still a win.
>look in the mirror
>experiment with rep and set ranges, and form variations
>if you eat more you can increase the workload
>>
>>77209422
Just finish every workout with a 50lb dumbell, curl each arm until you can't anymore. Saves you a whole day and is probably going to be better gainz. Arm day LOL

Monday: Squat day, 1 hour z2 run
Tuesday: 1 hour tempo
Wednesday: Deadlift day, 1 hour z2 run
Thursday: 2 hour z2 run
Friday: Bench day, 1 hour z2 run
Saturday: 3+ hour run, race, whatever

Press is an accessory done each day. This is a bare minimum for fitness.

6 days is optimal, simple as, but not everybody wants to prioritize the gym to that extent.
>>
>>77209149
I do an hour and a half or more of full body every other day. It's technically a 3 day program but it doesn't feel like I'd be making the most of it if I ever took two consecutive days of rest
>>
>>77209510
Will be 2 bicep exercises and 3 tricep exercises. I already throw incline curls in my upper days.
>Skullcrushers
>Preacher curls
>Overhead tricep extensions
>Hammer curls
>Push downs
Shouldn't take me too long and I want to ensure I hit my arms with enough intensity in multiple angles.

I’m a busy dad, so I aim for 7, but take what I can get. Usually ends up being 5. My workouts are short in my home gym before work, and I usually just hammer a compound with a top set and a couple down sets for amrap. If I have the time/energy I superset with chins or something. Occasionally I just do arms because I’m too tired, but still dragged my ass out of bed early enough to train
>>
>>77209149
It doesn't a whole lot.
The closest thing we have to true maintence is 1 set per group every 7th day (while not eating a significant deficit).
Anything over that is additive if it is loaded with a challenging weight and done close enough to failure.

Where the "celing" is as in how often and how much is maximally beneficial is almost entirely genetic.

I think ~95% of the population have ffmi increases within 3 to 5 days of working out (there is variation here again genetics). So if you knew which you could structure around it.
If it was 3 days it could be as simple as upper, lower, x, repeat
If it was 4 pplx
If it was 5 front, back, legs, arms/core/shoulders, rest

You have to feel it out then filter it down to how much do you really want to do?

i'm a bitch, i'm a lover
i'm a child, i'm a mother
i'm a sinner, i'm a saint
i work out every other day
>>
>>77209149
every day for me because I live in a weird place with no sidewalks or anything and lots of ticks if I go bushwacking outside of my rental house. I wfh. So if I dont go to the gym every day then I have zero days with no movement.
>>
>>77210261
Would you want it any other way?
>>
I find even 3 days is too hard cos my schedule is doing 12s in the ICU 2 days off 3 days on 2 days off 2 days on then 3 days off and then 2 days on and it repeats so when tf am I supposed to train AND get 10-20 sets per muscle. I hate it all so much
>ppl do 2 sets and go home and gain muscle
> they train like 2 to 3 times per week bro
A 2 to 3 days is hard to schedule and B most of those people build their physiques off of high volume
I hate fitness so much. Wish there was an easier way maybe some kind of magic pill that made u jacked instead
>>
Should I just kill myself?
>>
Three full body on cut. I try to maintain four full body on bulk but it's very strenuous

if you're a natty you literally get max aesthetics results doing bench press 3x- 6-12 two times a week. that's all you need, just forget everything else or training legs at all

homegym best ofcourse if possible. dumbells or bench press at home will do the trick

I workout 3 days. Weekend only. Fri: legs, Sat: back & arms, Sun: Chest. I build houses during the week so fuck if I'm gonna pull weight during the work week. Form, consistency, and food is all you need. This 5-6 days a week is a ghae larp. You just need 3.
>in before muh tattoos
>>
>>77209149
as I beginner I was told to just go 3 days per week, but I found that for me the was also a behavioral aspect to it, if I don't go often I can't make it into an habit; so after some trial and error I settled for PPLUL. It's frequent enough and gives 2 days to rest, also if I need to cut it down to 4 days for a reason; I can just roll the UL into fullbody (PPL-F); or if I need to cut two days it stays at PPLx1 for maintenance.

Me.
I workout twice a week for 3hr30min.
That way I waste less time with commute, showers, and so on. Plus, I have a lot of energy, so 1hr30min~ feels like too little for me.

I mean, come on nigga.
If you're gonna be gay and get tattoos, at least do a proper Yakuza-level one on your chest and arms. What is this half-assed shit?
