Anyone do this? Im doing two days per week 2 sets til failure full body. First time ive ever been consistent ngl. How long does it take to see actual muscle result in the mirror? I started one month ago so far i have noticed strength increases and my muscles feel hard.
>>77212712Much longer than 1 month newb
>>77212718how much longer until i notice some changes at least.
>>77212720Also how often to progressive overload?Right now i try to add 1 rep every workout i do. Somedays i cannot add a rep is this normal?
>>77212720What is your body typeI'm a pretty extreme endomorph and got some mirror gains in under a month
>>77212728>endomorphAlso same as you endomorph. I'm not on gear though.
i have been seeing results exercising less than 10 minutes per workout using a powerstationthree sets of chin upsthree sets of dipsthree sets of wide grip pull upsdead hangsit takes like 20-30 seconds to do a single set
>>77212752over how long dumb ass
>>77212752since november
>>77212755>>>77212754
>>77212752Post body
i went from not being to do a single chin up(in november) to do doing 5 or 6(now)i had to do dead hang hangs for a monthit took me like a month and half to do a single chin upi took a few months to do a wide grip pull up because they are more difficult
>>77212730>>77212728>somatotypesjewish pseudoscience.
>>77212752>>77212755And how have those results been what have you noticed?
>>77212712You can't see muscles under 200pounds of fat, you idiot. Lose weight.
>>77212728you're a retard. somatotype pseudoscience lmfao.
>>77212712That's how I work out. But I don't really care about looks... I'm just interested in solving my back pain issues. Been quite successful on that. Last year I could throw my back out picking up a milk jug. Now I can pick up 100lbs for 10 reps pain-free.Image-wise, I definitely have more defined muscles and bigger shoulders than before, but not enough for people to comment on it. But to me, knowing my body in more detail, I think it looks good in the mirror. I actually have some small pecs to flex, rather than just ribs showing. But yeah, twice a week for a year, you won't be looking jacked. But you will feel a whole lot better, so keep it up!
>>77212712Skinny before? 3 months with proper nutrition.Fat before? 6 months with proper cut. Both times to see anything. For it to be noticeable to other people? 1.5-2 years of consistency.
>>77212722Depends on your goals. For strength do 4-6 reps. If you can only do 3 you are lifting too heavy. If you can do at least 6 across all of your sets, up the weight. For getting bigger, do 8-12 on compound lifts and 10-15 on isolation lifts. If you do the same weight and reps across weeks for a given exercise, assess the reason. As a beginner, it is almost certainly because either you don't have enough rest time between workout days, your exercise order is such that the key muscles in a later lift are already fatigued (e.g. you exhausted your triceps doing a heavier bench press several minutes before so your dedicated triceps exercise stats didn't improve, which isn't really a big deal if your heavy compound is improving), you arent getting enough sleep, or you aren't getting enough protein or calories.
>>77212712>one month>you think you see things in the mirror that are different>it's your imagination>3 months>you can almost convince yourself you're not imagining the changes you see in the mirror>you're kinda right>6 months>you can objectively see you look different in the mirror>other people can see it too>people will either look at your body more or ask questions like "have you been going to the gym" or make indirect comments about exercise around you>9 months>you clearly look visibly different to how you looked before>it's definitely not your imagination>"those are really my arms">"thats really my torso">family members will make statements regarding steroids That's been my experience.
>>77213371After a month and a half of lifting I had a coworker ask if I had been working out
>>77213152what do you think im doing retard.>>77213266sounds like you just have a shit workout lol.>>77213281thanks.>>77213290thanks>>77213371thanks
One set per workout is fine for a noob but try 3x a week and go up to at least 3 sets
>>77214054uhm sweatie.....mike mentzer said you only need one hard set for a week.......
>>77214064if you're an advanced lifter used to training very intensely and use meth as pre workout then maybe you can train like that for contest prep yeah
>>77212712One year.
