Pls rate my core workout, i just want to strengthen my core well, and hoping I can build up whatever abs I'll end up revealing in the kitchen. This workout takes me ~20 minutes. I cannot fucking do crunches without my heel rising off the floor, and sticking my foot under something just makes me raise my toes against the barrier, lessening the focus on my core. Are there any good alternative to ab crunches? I have a power tower at home so i can try hanging leg raises but is it worth doing them if my core is so weak I can only raise with bent legs, just my knees mostly rising, not straight legs.
>>77214018It's fine. I would add reverse planks too for overall back health. Also you can do weighted planks when the bodyweight planks are too easy.
1 min plank is pretty lame anon you've got 2.5 minutes in you at least as a beginner
>>77214026It's better to add weight instead of adding time. A 2 5 etc minute plank with bodyweight is more about resistance vs hypertrophy/strength.
>>77214043It's better to add pain
>>77214053Not rlly, the pain/burns comes from lactic acid metabolism which is more of a function of resistance vs hypertrophy.
>>77214018Literally just buy an ab wheel, it trains all of those muscles and more under high tension. No need for all that fancy stuff. Plus they cost you like 20 bucks at most. Or use a barbell.
>>77214788A great exercise but far from comprehensive
add dead bugs
