What is the cutoff to be considered in good shape? Is it still 2/3/4/5 pl8?
>>77214166while also standing on the podium after a triathlon
It's 3/4/5/6 pl8 now. It's a K shaped economy and if you're not instagram shredded you're fat.
>>77214166>2pl8 bench>7 minute mile/1600m>10 pullupsDesu if you hit all three of those, you /fit/ness-mog the vast majority of people even though they ain't that impressive. Some random special farces criteria if u want elite shape.
>>77214166be me
>>77214166Due to inflation it's now 3/4/5/6 pl8
>>77214323>Some random special farces criteria if u want elite shape.People frequently misunderstand these things when they look them up and think the minimum is what they should meet. Whenever you see those standards, bear in mind that people who actually make it into those organizations are probably maxing multiple categories and scoring highly in all, and even that is really just a bare minimum to try out for the rest of the training which has a high attrition even among people who did very well on the fitness standards to enter.
>>77214166not one person in good shape lifts 2/3/4/5 thoughever unless roids and even then one can argue they are not
>>77214461Or they see the minimum scores and think "well, I can do that" but forget that's it's one right after the other, or after a week of getting smoked and ran into the ground all week long with minimal sleep/nutrition and then taking the test.
>>77214323What's the cutoff for females? Not even track girls can run a 7 minute mile. And most can't even do 1 pullup.
>>77214166>2/3/4/5correcti'm at 1/2/3/4 for 10 reps and look like a complete DYEL clown (80 kg 176 cm)
>>77214166Good shape and strength standards are two different things. Being in shape means you can run, hike, ride a bike and do bodyweight stuff at an above average level. You can be strong, benching 3pl8s and be in bad shape, struggling to walk up stairs, unable to run for longer than 5 minutes.
>>77214472You are a failure in every single way
>>77214779you are fat
>>77214820Nope. Please try lifting weights some time. It would do you a lot of good.
>>77214832so you are on roids good to know anyways i dont really care to argue everyone worth a shit knows 2/3/4/5 is impossible for a natty at a normal bmi
>>77214840>i dont really care to argue
>>77214720Post bodyI'm same height but nowhere near 1/2/3/4 pl8 for 1rep let alone 10
>>77214461Your max bench is irrelevant. I think a fair amount can't bench 2 plate, it doesn't even get tested lol. Bench is irrelevant. Take a 40kg backpack (make sure it's comfy) and walk for hours if you want a nice physical requirement simulation. The physical reqs always favored a more skinny build for the pull ups and running. But scew a career in the military never join especially not for US or western Europe.
>>77214166when do you start not looking fat? BMI says 25 or above is overweight, but today I weighted myself and I got 24.9 and I still look hideous
>>77214868Sorry that you can't bench 225. Keep trying.
>>77214840>at a normal bmiYou can be a higher BMI and still be healthy and look good. If you are a lifter you probably should be.
>>77214720I find this a little implausible
>>77214166My goal is to be able to throw around a 200+lb fat chick and show her the time of her life. Corrupted by the evils of social media they are not, my princess awaits me.
>>772141662/3/4/5 and a Sub-3 hour Marathon is the bare minimum
>>77214699probably like 1pl8 bench, 8 min mile, 5 pullups>>77215070>Sub-3 hour Marathonlmao this for victim weight future ass cancer patients, totally unachievable if u remotely frame-mog.
>>77215075Holy Francis Ford Cope-alot
>>77215104I can do a sub-minute 400m but not a sub-3-hour marathon. Probably outlift EVERYONE who can do a sub-3-hour marathon, though.
There's absolutely no fitness or practical advantage to being able to run marathons. If you can easily jog a few miles you have plenty of cardio fitness for health and practicality. More than that and it starts becoming at the expense of more useful things.
