Thinking about getting a walking pad for my standing desk.
Is there any decent brand that wont break the bank?

20 minutes every other day, yes that's enough IF it's quality paced upright walk

Or I could just walk on a pad during the 8+ hours I'm inside. Probably a lot better for me than whatever measly sunlight I'll be getting at 5:50 in the afternoon

I have a cheap flexispot one. It works, if it would break and would be unfixable I just buy a new one.

One that has a slight incline, and isn't manual. But most importantly, one that you'd actually use.
I use mine with a little 24 inch Standing Desk Converter and can use the PC while walking. Ez 10k steps in under 2 hours.

I'm on my 4th one now. Started using them a couple years ago. Lessons learned:
>you want incline built in
>look for top speed of 6mph+ so you can actually joog a little
>total height if cramming it under a desk - some have those bars that fold
>size of belt/surface matters most
>don't go by size of person in the picture - they're often photoshopped to be smaller so the pad looks huge
And the most important thing:
>they all feature the same unventilated 2.5hp motor that will overheat and die choking on its own melted plastic with regular use. Even the "nicer" (more expensive) ones are exactly the same inside
>get them from somehwere with a protection plan, and you'll get most of your money back when you kill it

The Iranian youtube guy who likes to electrocute himself has some insights into it after longer term use.
Electroboom I think. Can't be bothered to find the video, but it was insightful
