Why does this happen every time?>want to lose weight >Start losing weight >everything is fine, watching calorie intake, scale is moving down every week >suddenly weight loss stops, hunger shoots through the roof, desire to be active disappears, sticking to a calorie deficit feels impossible with extremely strong desire to eat and food noise >give up and rebound the weight lostI have heard that some people are genetically fucked in that their body defends hard against weight loss. Am I one of the unlucky people? How do you push through this misery?
>>77218410you're cutting too fast and burning yourself out. it's a marathon not a sprint.
>>77218413I weigh 350 pounds how could I be hitting a wall so quickly like 30 pounds in
>>77218410Funny cat
>>77218425oh, you're fat as shit and have very low willpower. That makes sense.
>>77218425Are you one of those giga fatasses that think they need to cut down to like 1500 calories in order to lose weight because they read that on the Internet?
>>77218410your hormones got fucked upeat a healthy balanced diet, not a meme one. take preplanned breaks every few weeks. understand that you will go through periods of increased hunger and try to minimize the damage instead of binging.
>>77218496I was doing like 800 calories a day>>77218845Can you explain what hormones fucking up means
>>77218410You should check out ozempic.
>>77219050>800 calories a dayDoes being fat make people actually retarded
>>77219065I assume it would be fine when obese
>>77218425>I weigh 350 pounds how could I be hitting a wall so quickly like 30 pounds inif i lost 30 lbs i could barely stand up, i would be fainting and very, very frail - u have no idea, no understanding HOW ABSOLUTELY FUCKED UP YOU ARE if u wanna succeed it will have to be multiple YEARS effort, basically u devout your life to unfuck your sore state no, losing weight is NOT the most heavy burden u have, not at all - the worst thing is combating addiction, again u have no clue what you're up for
>>77218410>give upthere is your problem. you don't give up.>some people are genetically fuckedmaybe, but you're not one of them. you lack willpower. you lack determination. you lack self-control.>How do you push through this misery?you just continue what you were doing before. the point of a diet is not to give you cozy feelings or make you all fuzzy inside. it's going to suck, you're going to feel shitty. the urge to give in is going to be huge. but whatever happens, you just don't give up. ever.now quit being a bitch ass faggot and do your diet.
>sticking to a calorie deficit feels impossibleif it feels one way it doesn't matter. if it IS impossible then you're absolved of your choice to eat. you know how it works: you choose not to eat. you chose to eat instead. why would you complain about what you decided to do
>>77218410>How do you push through this misery?you push through the misery lolif you want a shortcut look into glp-1s
>>77219096calculate your maintenance calories then subtract 1000, that's will be your daily budget
>>77219050You should aim for a 500kcal to 1000kcal deficit. With 500kcal you will lose roughly half a kg every week, with a 1000kcal it will be a whole kg. Since you're fat as shit you will probably still eat a lot, because your maintainance calories are very high.I advise you to start with 500kcal for at least a couple of months, just to build your weight loss routine with less resistance. You will be at this for years anyway, so might as well go slow for a couple of months. This should be common knowledge, but in case you're completely retarded: what you eat influences apetite and hunger. Eat foods with lots of volume like vegetables. Eat foods with lots of fiber, protein and fat, as those take longer to digest and thus keep you full. Avoid drinking calories.
>>77219050>Can you explain what hormones fucking up meansLeptin is the main problem. Leptin has a lot of effects, but weight loss stopping, increased hunger, and feeling tired are all signs of decreased leptin. Your baseline leptin levels are decided by how much fat you have. Losing fat = leptin levels decreased. When you take a diet break you give your body time to recover leptin.
>>77219644Interesting I'll look into it
>>77219644Leptin doesn’t magically stop you from losing weight.
>>77220640You can power through it by eating less, but why would you? Instead of suffering just to eventually yo-yo it back, it's better to respect your limits and work around them. You may even find weight loss enjoyable.
>>77218410i lost 6kg in 2 months and then gained it all back in 2 weeks like 4 times in a span of 1-2 yearsall 4 times i had like 4000 steps a day on average and did not lift. i was only dieting, was in deficit every day, went to sleep slightly hungry.this time i started lifting and walking 10-15k steps a day. i do not really diet, i just try to not go to bed with a full stomach. i rarely feel even slightly hungry.i lost a shit ton of fat and i have muscles now. when i was on just a diet i lost both muscle and fat and didn't look good. now i look really good even though i still have fat in my belly.i look good, i feel good, it's really easy and sustainable compared to just dieting, i feel like i can do this for the rest of my life.and by the way the main factor here is walking 10k+ steps a day. i started lifting after a month-1.5 of walking. lifting is just to gain muscle/preserve them if you have anything to preserve at all. i did not lose muscle when i was just walking, i lost it on a diet. still, feels nice having them and lifting is fun.
