Why does this happen every time?

>everything is fine, watching calorie intake, scale is moving down every week

I have heard that some people are genetically fucked in that their body defends hard against weight loss. Am I one of the unlucky people? How do you push through this misery?

calculate your maintenance calories then subtract 1000, that's will be your daily budget

You should aim for a 500kcal to 1000kcal deficit. With 500kcal you will lose roughly half a kg every week, with a 1000kcal it will be a whole kg. Since you're fat as shit you will probably still eat a lot, because your maintainance calories are very high.

I advise you to start with 500kcal for at least a couple of months, just to build your weight loss routine with less resistance. You will be at this for years anyway, so might as well go slow for a couple of months.

This should be common knowledge, but in case you're completely retarded: what you eat influences apetite and hunger. Eat foods with lots of volume like vegetables. Eat foods with lots of fiber, protein and fat, as those take longer to digest and thus keep you full. Avoid drinking calories.

Leptin is the main problem. Leptin has a lot of effects, but weight loss stopping, increased hunger, and feeling tired are all signs of decreased leptin. Your baseline leptin levels are decided by how much fat you have. Losing fat = leptin levels decreased.
When you take a diet break you give your body time to recover leptin.

You can power through it by eating less, but why would you? Instead of suffering just to eventually yo-yo it back, it's better to respect your limits and work around them. You may even find weight loss enjoyable.

i lost 6kg in 2 months and then gained it all back in 2 weeks like 4 times in a span of 1-2 years

all 4 times i had like 4000 steps a day on average and did not lift. i was only dieting, was in deficit every day, went to sleep slightly hungry.

this time i started lifting and walking 10-15k steps a day. i do not really diet, i just try to not go to bed with a full stomach. i rarely feel even slightly hungry.

i lost a shit ton of fat and i have muscles now. when i was on just a diet i lost both muscle and fat and didn't look good. now i look really good even though i still have fat in my belly.

i look good, i feel good, it's really easy and sustainable compared to just dieting, i feel like i can do this for the rest of my life.

and by the way the main factor here is walking 10k+ steps a day. i started lifting after a month-1.5 of walking. lifting is just to gain muscle/preserve them if you have anything to preserve at all. i did not lose muscle when i was just walking, i lost it on a diet. still, feels nice having them and lifting is fun.
