>Koreans consume twice as much sugar as the Japanese
Why aren't they fat?
>>
Ray peat vindicated
low fat very high carb = lean
low carb very high fat = lean
Moderate both high protein = depends on the amount of food you eat but most likely lean
Anything else = either malnourishment, diabetes or obesity inducing

Don't South Koreans spend more on cosmetics and plastic surgery per capita than any other nation?
>>
>>77218585
Aren't they also an endagered species at this point?
>>
>>77219464
Unironically, yes. We will see the upcoming extinction of a nation, much like others before have witnessed empires fall. This is one for the history books.

>Diabetes is a major public health concern in South Korea, affecting approximately 15.5% (over 5.3 million) of adults aged 30 and older as of 2021-2022, with a high prevalence of prediabetes (41.1% or 14 million adults). The disease disproportionately affects men, and prevalence increases with age, largely driven by obesity, unhealthy lifestyles, and an aging population.

>Obesity in South Korea is a rising public health issue, with nearly 40% of adults now classified as obese (BMI ≥25 ) as of 2022–2023, up from roughly 31% in 2014. Male obesity rates have increased dramatically, reaching 50% in 2023

Korean food is very salty, so it cancels out the sugar.
>>
>>77219474
Correct. When populations adopt a Western diet, they become insulin resistant and obese. But of course, you left that context out of your meaningless quote.

This sentence makes absolutely no sense.

Give it a little more thinking.
You can boil it down to 2 words if it's easier "framing" and "attention" then just extrapolate on how that occurs at every step from this photo being taken to how it got here.

>sugar is le bad for you
Only pushed by big pharma. Sugar a good energy source, what's bad for you is seed oils.

>obese (BMI ≥25)
what sloppy AI gave you this overview? Obesity starts at a BMI of 30.
For reference, a 6' person weighs 185lbs at a BMI of 25 and 220lbs at 30

I have a sweet tooth and I've always been skinny. Calories in, calories out. It's about HOW MUCH you eat, not what you eat, when it comes to weight. You can eat pizza for the rest of your life and not be fat if you stay under 3k cal.

nowhere close, you just need 100 men and women to repopulate a nation
lower birth rates are only bad for the upper class, which is why they import quadrillions of shitskins to keep the wages low and housing costs high

I don't believe you're statement is true, but I also don't believe sugar is the reason for obesity.

how do koreans looks so young?
is it just genes?

I started taking more collagen, use retinol, wear more sunscreen but I don't think it's enough.

They eat healthier foods and they get more exercise. They also place more emphasis on family, so they have lower levels of stress.

their birth rate would suggest otherwise

No such thing as "Emphasis on family" without preserving the nuclear family and having kids. Just because they give their kids plastic surgery as christmas gifts doesnt mean they care about them beyond flexing on each other

Asians have different ratings on the fat scale.
Google "Asian BMI"

Sorry, didn't read your post. Next time, don't make such a blatant strawman comment
>>

Because sugar doesn't make you fat.

Keto diets are an artifact from US culture where they have a cultural taboo about eating sweets as an adult.

>how do koreans looks so young?
Plastic surgery.

Asians don't exercise much in general, not many gyms over there.
Also family increases stress for males, doesn't reduce it.
>>

>Asians don't exercise much in general, not many gyms over there.
Not what I said. Re-read the post.
>Also family increases stress for males, doesn't reduce it.
A culture is a multi-factorial conglomeration of different variable aspects, even if what you're saying were true. There are many different variables in the culture that affect how different health outcomes are presented. An example would be that a chocolate chip cookie or.brownie is objectively not a healthful food, but there have been studies that showed that people who got a chocolate chip cookie or a brownie with their breakfast ate less over the following meals and lost weight in general because their cravings had abated and weight loss results in improved blood and health biomarkers regardless of the content of the diet. So overall, even though something unhealthy was introduced, it resulted in a healthful outcome.

You can't isolate a single variable and base assumptions off of that. Overall, strong family values, spending time with your family and parents being present in the lives of their children has an undeniably positive impact on overall health.

This logic breaks down when there is a violent neighboring nation that has been looking to invade you for 70 years.
