>human body is 70% water
>water expands when it freezes, increasing volume
>applying ice to injuries from exercise reduces inflammation (reduces volume)
>even though we are made of water, which should expand and make inflammation worse
Explain this shit

Cold slows down all processes including inflammation.

Going by your logic the blood already in the area should be expanding outwards essentially leaving the area rather than new blood coming inwards.

Btw icing is outdated(debunked by the guy that made the theory) you're supposed to let the inflammation happen so you can heal faster.

You aren't freezing the water in your body just by placing a cold pack on it. At best you're cooling it to something a bit below your body temp, but nowhere near freezing.

It only expands if you freeze it. If it stays a liquid, it contracts as temperature decreases.

Water gets densier when it cools to 4 degrees celsius. Ir only expands when it's beeing cooled even further. You will be dead if you manage to cool any part of your body to 4 degrees.
