I'm a natty that is seeking to work out more often however I have issues with tendonpathy and a weak back so I decided to test out BFR since it's supposed to complement weekly movements at full force. I figured out how to get it to work around the lats/chest to help target my rear delts but other than that I think I am feeling a burn?
What I'm asking is "am I just placeboing myself into thinking this routine isn't retarded?"

Why would you restrict your blood flow idiot

It isn't complete restriction of blood flow, however the main idea is to increase growth hormone by having the muscle build up lactic acid with lighter weights so you don't strain the tendons but get something that's better than not training.

Yeah its good but you should try to fix the tendinopathy if possible. Probably fixable unless you really fucked your shit up. The only thing I really notice while training is recovery between sets feels a little harder, but the actual lifting is about the same. For example, if you normally bench 135 for a 3x8, you could bench 3x8 95 with bfr and the recovery between sets would feel closer to 135 but the actual lifting would not feel any harder. You can get an absolutely ridiculous pump doing crossfit/high rep style calisthenics with BFR. Would recommend (stay safe though).

I have been using wolverine for joint issues, but I realized that after the treatment and I go max on the movements it will come back. I want to use BFR so I don't rape my tendons 4 weeks after ending treatment.
