Time and time again, anyone who tells you their max bench is 315+, or their squat 350+ almost 99% of the time, are either bounced like a trampoline off their chest, or literal 1/4th reps.

Is the deadlift the only lift in the big 3 where if someone says they lift the weight (assuming that isn't a lie) that the lift was actually completed to an acceptable standard?

Same thing but this time with legit plates. 200kg ? Or 180 i dont remember cba to pull out his acc again , goes for a quarter rep like barely parallel elbows than reracks it. The reason i even found him is because he was arguing with someone rabidly on comments. Same as the guy before, average 50 likes.

I mean i already have major trust issues but this is eye opening. Online i can get combative for fun to ragebait people but irl most of the time it's like

it's bench. bench is unquestionably the most frauded lift of all time, because "what do you bench" is the most commonly asked gymbro question. it's not a matter of bouncing or half-repping, it's simply that people have not lifted the weight they say they have lifted.

Can be

1. An outright lie

2. A big bounce or half rep

3. Spotter grabbing half the weight

4. Doesn't know what 315 actually is

5. Home gym with wrong plates

The list goes on and on

At least when I did track & field the numbers were hit with a stop watch and impossible to fraud unless you were a blatant liar, lifting is not like that, but anyway too many weirdos out there to even give a shit

Pull ups. People fraud push ups too but you could argue that you still get gains with minimal range of motion but everybody who says they can do 20 pull ups or whatever kips like a faggot and is all momentum

Bench is easily the most frauded. As you said, you always see some idiot bouncing it off their chest, doing a six gorillion degree arch which means they're literally moving the bar 2 inches, or they're straight up lifting it with assistance from the spotter. Just as you said, whenever someone says their bench is >3pl8 I immediately know the lift isn't legit unless they're some 300lbs bloatmaxxed powerlifter. I did notice too that a lot of people will do 3 plates on the chest press but then say they bench 3pl8, which is just stupid and doesn't work

Half the time with squats they're not even hitting parallel.

With deadlifts the weight usually goes all way up at least yeah, although the form is often questionable. Of course there's always gonna be people doing sumo or using trap bar claiming they deadlift 4pl8 or more though

This. I used to be able to do a legit set of 20 pull ups with full ROM but I weighed under 60kg at the time. And it's the same with anyone else doing that many really, i don't consider it very impressive when some twink who weighs nothing can do a lot of pull ups and I'm more impressed by the big guy who can do 10
