I was diagnosed with sleep apnea last year and it's started to take a toll. I use a cpap machine but its very limited because of how uncomfortable it is.this has kind of wrecked my training schedule. I do BJJ and lift but now training is hard due to me just not having energy. Can someone help me out with this? Before anyone asks, I'm not overweight, my sleep apnea is most likely caused by a deviated septum.
>>77227775I think you can get surgery to fix a deviated septum but I heard the recovery is the worst thing ever.
>>77227775My old man has a cpap, he had a terrible time getting used to it but now he can't sleep without it. How long have you had the cpap? You gotta stick with it, even though it sucks.
>>77227775i have a similar problem but found a kinda-shitty-but-works solutionin my case its also the nose and it fucked my recovery big time but i didn’t want to drop money on cpap - i bought a plastic thingie with magnets that you put on the nose, you also put stickers with little magnets on your nostrils and then it holds them wider through the night.i thought its retarded at first but i stopped doubting after the first few nights, i had to figure out a good spot for the stickersif i dont use it i dont rest well and my head hurts the next day so id say it works - the difference is huge even though my girlfriend says i still snoreobviously its an additional cost but its worth it for the quality of life imo. it doesnt annoy me when sleeping at all and i have a hard time sleeping. picture is from a Polish manufacturer as im from Poland but im sure theres a fuckload of them elsewhere
>>77228044my septum was bad enough i had to go in twice. first time the recovery wasn't that bad, second time it was only shit because a bad reaction to the steroid they gave me to help with recovery. it did take a couple weeks each time. was a mild-moderate soreness, and very tender to the touch. only real odd thing besides the steroid reaction is i lost all feeling in the nose because the nerve endings all had to regrow over the course of almost a year. i still snore but it's way better than before. couldn't run without mouth breathing too and now i can breathe fully through my nostrils. was absolutely worth it.
>>77228211I have one of those magnetic nasal rigs, I find breathe right strips provide more opening pressure but the price of them in cucknada is just retarded.
My 64 year old mom uses a cpap. She’s had a ton of plastic surgery but internally isn’t healthy
