Long short: Got catapulted out of a lift bucket and landed on my back onto a work truck from about 14ft. Official prognosis is compressed C7 fracture. I see the docs for more information later this week. Anyone with the same injury have any insight towards long term effects? How long until I can work out/be physical again without fear of further damage?
>>77231258Where were your safety harness?
>>77231270Faulty equipment. Hook did not have functional latch so it unhooked midair. Situation is fucked. More or less curious how much long term bullshit I have to look forward too or if it generally becomes a bad memory after healing up. So far it is mostly just a lot of ugly discolored bruising and my knee is stiff as a rod. They got me in a neck brace 24/7 but it doesn't exactly hurt when it is off as long as I don't bend.
>>77231258>>77231258I'm sorry bro. You will heal up and be stronger than ever
>>77231279>>77231258hope you're gonna sue them into oblivion
>bro just do blue collar broanother innocent man's life ruined by the deranged boomer slave system. On the bright side op, thanks to the advancements of ai and medical technology you can probably be completely healed with in the decadejust pop painkillers in the meantime
>>77231320my friend. if anything, the company will reprimand him for not stopping the job and alerting his supervisor/safety officer once faulty equipment was noticed. OP, doctors are always going to recommend staying off the affected area pretty much forever but theyre all quacks. once you feel able, start easing into strengthening your back and core. back extensions, ab wheel, pull ups. and youre probably gonna have to start incorporating a good stretching/mobility routine daily now. and most of all, dont give the safety guy any info that could incriminate you for not doing the right thing. they are there to cover the companies ass, not yours.
>>77232011if he's in america and got injured on the job due to faulty equipment then he 100% has an easy case
