As a person, Vonderplanitz (not even his real name) was an evil lying con-man while Peat was just a harmless eccentric.

The diet itself though, I'd go for raw meat etc. over what Peat was preaching, but I give him credit for being ahead of the curve on the PUFA question

what the fuck kind of name is that

>The diet itself though, I'd go for raw meat etc. over what Peat was preaching
And what was Peat preaching? You don’t know. Because if you did, you’d know how stupid you sound.

Don’t waste your breath replying unless you can clearly state what Peat was “preaching”

It's funny when you go on the Ray Peat subreddits and see how many people are gaining weight fast. And I assume those people were already a bit overweight since they are searching for diets trying to "boost their metabolism".

If you overdo sugar without exercising you are just gonna crave more and more carbs.
>>
>>77231733
and make your insulin resistance worse...obviously
>>
>>77231617
Or you could take information that works for you and makes sense to you from both
I respect them both for diverging from the meme "balanced" marketing-driven methodology of buying every single "whole food" you come accross in the supermarket because you "need to eat a multitude of foods". For most of human history people ate basically the same 5-6 things from birth to death. If it aint broke dont fix it
>>77231733
Exercise makes you crave more carbohydrates tho, your point doesn't make sense.
>Getting fat on milk and orange juice and carrot
Yeah they're leaving out details
>>
>>77231741
>your point doesn't make sense
My point was if you are sedentary and constantly eat sugar you will develop an addiction and crave it more and more. At least when you exercise your metabolism is working and using all the carbs.
>Yeah they're leaving out details
Yeah no shit, also Ray Peat had some thing about "drink coca cola" so those people are basically doing whatever they did before just drinking orange juice and milk in the morning and still eating starches are whatever.
>>
>>77231617
neither eat your lean body mass in protein, and you can eat whatever the fuck else you want as long as it is below your maintenance if cutting or above if bulking i understand these cults are in too deep but it really is that simple just a bit of tracking is all

>reddit does everything wrong again
Did you know there are redditors who hop on roids and gain no muscle?

concession accepted

The real trick is to separate carbs and fats as much as possible. Eating carbs causes insulin spike, the down stream effect of this is nutrient storage, including fat. If you eat carbs on their own, or carbs and protein, nothing special happens, you just fill up on glycogen and prots. Carbs and fat together directly causes fat storage. Protein and fat together are fine, no insulin spike.

Ez pz.

most healthy people can eat carbs and fat together without a problem. plus, if youre lifting enough you will have large muscles, and muscle burn fat at rest. which means that randle cycle doesnt matter if ur jacked enough brah. this is why having muscle / resistance exercise is the best thing for diabetes / longevity in general. b/c muscle burn fat at rest. so just get jacked brah and slam full fat milk all day and you wont get fat fat if youre jacked enough.
>>
>>77233256
He's not referring to randle cycle. He's referring to the krebs cycle. And your body will always prioritize glucose over fat so no, you have to be in ketosis to burn fat

Aajonus does give off pathological liar vibes bro says
>i had 500 heart attacks by 20
>was dying of cancer
>went out into woods to kms myself
>deer comes over to me carrying a plate of raw meat on its snout
>eat it cuz I wanna die
>it cures all of my illnesses instantly

Sounds based to me

>And what was Peat preaching?
As far as the things I take issue with go: high meal frequency, high-carb, avoidance of cruciferous vegetables.

lmao how do you think people lost fat before the 2010s?
>>
>>77233570
Ketosis is the name of the process, you dont necessarily need to be on low carb high fat "keto" to go through it.

Stop lionizing dead nutritional whack jobs. You are getting overly emotional

fat retards and character assassins love to talk about how they eat 9000 calories of ice cream and butter due to Ray's instructions, even though he never said that.

Aajonus' diet is not only superior to most diets, at least makes sense and clearly tells you what to eat, what not to eat and why.

Peat's diet is an overcomplicated mess with dozens of Byzantine rules that nobody understands.
Aajonus' diet is based on a few very sound principles and the results of anyone who've tried it speak for themselves.
>>
>>77231617
Both wrong about plenty of things, but purely on diet, Aajonus wins easily. His ideas about diet are in line with our evolutionary diet, Peat's ideas are wacky and fundamentally modernist and tranhumanist, and therefore wrong. The stuff about mexican cola being healthy is just batshit retarded. And like a lot of diet types who reject nature, he never looked very healthy. It's a shame because I think if Peat lived longer he would probably have realised the error of his thinking.

bro got filtered by meat + milk + orange juice

ppl listen to this retard?

Peat is very crude and autistic which is what people like. He was a biochemistry PhD and all his writings were on optimizing cellular activity

Aajonus among other grifters focus on ideas like ”raw” ”ancestral” ”primal”. They have an intuition things SHOULD be good because they feel like something a caveman would eat, then they work backwards trying to justify it

Peat only focused on low inflammation and cellular efficiency, which is where you get ideas from a lot of ”camps” in the fitness space competing, protein is good but only if i has a favorable Calcium to Phosphate ratio, and you should avoid muscle meat in favor of organ and connective tissue. Emphasis on carbohydrates etc

Ray Peat clears every single one of these hacks.
