Accoring to /fit/ ytbers this no 1 king of all abs exercises. Do you agree? Looks kinda gay, but maybe it works

She's doing them wrong

Situps?
>>
i don't understand people doing allah lifts. also any crunch movement forces your abs out of your belly, you end up with the disgusting pushed out abs. crunch exercises should be banned.
>>
>>77231804
Abs are one of the easiest body parts to train, almost to the level of biceps. All you need to do is spam cable crunches, weighted hanging leg raises, weighted decline sit-ups (hold the weight behind your head, not in front), and/or decline leg raises. These exercises alone will get you a decent 6 pack and strong core. If you have some extra time, you can also do a couple of kneeling oblique crunches or weighted side bends to earn some nice obliques. Also, the chick in the photo is doing it wrong. To get full ROM, you gotta crunch until your plan head is at your dick.

and am i supposed to look away when women do this in the gym? why?
>>
>>77231804
I can't really get it to work, and other exercises fuck with my bulged L4/L5. I now do ab exercises where I force my lower back to be level with the ground
>>
>>77231804
I'm at 25 reps with the full stack. Not sure what to do at this point. I can't really add more weight with a gym pin cause it's already very unstable with this much weight.
>>
>>77231804
Yeah they're pretty great if you're a bad fit for the ab machine or it forces you into back extension or you can't get an angle where your elbows don't dig into the pads. You can't do these even half as heavy but it should be enough to work the abs if you can take to failure and anchor yourself with like with the leg braces on the lat pull machine.

>if you're a bad fit for the ab machine or it forces you into back extension or you can't get an angle where your elbows don't dig into the pads.
Does your gym also have the precor ab crunch machine? I have all of these same problems. Fucking hate this stupid machine. Why would they make it so it puts your back into hyperextension? If they just had to do that why not connect the foot pad so you can push on it to get into an actual reasonable starting position? Makes me seethe
>>

I maxed out this on my first day on the gym. No this is not your usual "i benched 315 before even learning techniqu" post. I genuinely went with my friend who's been gyming way before me and tested it full stack and got 30 reps and no soreness or slowing down
Only cable crunches and weighted knee raises do anything for me
>>
>>77231916
A lot of their machines are very light. I'm maxing out the seated OHP despite only pressing 70kg freeweight. My gym has a full set of precor unfortunately and almost all of them suck dick. Made for midgets with short ass arms as well. The worst part is that the weight stack has that plastic shit in front of it so you can't even use a gym pin properly. Fucking hate precor with a passion.

i only do standing ab wheels.

still cant get nose to the floor but its so close.
the last few cm is taking me like half a year now.
>>
>>77231804
I like hanging leg raises as well, but yes weighted cable crunches in picrel are very good and easy to track overload since weight is selectable.
>>
>>77231901
>Why would they make it so it puts your back into hyperextension?
Because the "science based" bodybuilding understanding is that you get better gains when starting an exercise while stretching the primary muscle. Its supposed to stretch your abs.
>>
>>77231804
I tried them and it felt like I was giving my arms a solid isometric workout while my abs felt almost nothing at that weight.
>>
>>77232262
same here. Static holds and crunch punch troughs are my fav. The punch through gives a nice little twist on each crunch. Chris herrera had a nice little video on daily ab excercises.
>>
I can't get the right feeling on this or ab wheel consistently. Hanging leg raises and dragon flags the 2 best for me.

Y'all rack mind muscle connection. Try putting your elbows on your head and locking them there. Force the movement through your abs.

You got to try to autofellate yourself

For me it's the ab roller. But occasionally I'll feel like doing something when I'm at the gym, and my favourite ab machine is the Technogym Total Abdominal. I just max it out and do a couple of high rep sets.
It's the one piece of equipment from Technogym that I don't absolutely hate.
>>
>>77231857
Why would you need to? Just do them once a week now to maintain. You dont want big abs you just want them to exist and if you're doing the stack they certainly do. Moron.
>>
>>77232827
>you don't want big abs
Why not? Maybe I've just been sheltered or something, but I've never seen an example of abs that were too big. Even on roided up competitive bodybuilders that are so huge they look disgusting, abs are never the problem. Seems like a muscle group that looks better the bigger it is and maxes out before it starts looking bad.
>>
Planks and Ab Wheel Rollouts are all you need.
Kettlebell Side Raises if you want to push obliques, russian Twists are fine too
>>

Ab roller
>>77231804
No, there's a weight limit sadly that makes progress impossible for advanced lifters.

L-sits will brutally mog that for core strength. to be able to do it on the floor as pictured is highly advanced. pulling a cord down to a dick-sucking position cannot compete

The other day I was doing them, the bolt holding the cable to the weights broke, and I whacked my head hard enough on the machine to get five stitches.

The workout is unparalleled tho.
