I got diagnosed with adhd at 20 after years of doing shit in school and being a rambunctious little shit all throughout public school.20mg xr has made college way easier as I can actually sit down and read a book for more than 15 minutes without me stopping to dick around.I lifted on and off for three years without seeing much result, but on Adderall, being consist ant with lifting and diet feels easy as fuck, and lifting feels euphoric now. I no longer spam mass amounts of caffiene and nicotineThe one issue is, it feels like I am "cheating" by taking drugs that make me focused and able to lift harder. Is it cheating?
I’m the same way I’m 30 now and never took adderall/amphetamines through my early/mid 20s and created a mess of a life. I started taking them again at 28 and now my life/physique is great. I have the same thoughts on does all of this even count and honestly who gives a shit take the adderall. The alternative, atleast for me is I was just an absolute mess.
>>77232211Also your life is more important than your physique. If your life as a whole is a mess even a better reason to take it
nah it's not. by the time you stop taking it you will be surprised
yes it is cheatingbut results are all that matters
So what's the downsides, why isn't everyone on adderall/vyvanse
>>77234023It's literally an amphetemine. Go ask all the homeless meth heads how much meth helped them. Also, a study was done with all the "study drugs" and found that amphetemines didn't actually improve the recipients' performance compared to a placebo, they only caused them to perceive their own performance as superior. The most effective study drug for raising IQ which actually raised test scores was caffeine.
>>77232191It's only cheating if you don't have ADHD. Have you ever talked to a normalfag about inattention issues? They always give some retarded advice like "just focus" as if it's that easy. They say this because it literally is that easy for them. Now you're experiencing it after a lifetime of playing on hard mode and it feels like it shouldn't be that easy, but it is.I read a study a while ago that said an incredibly low rate of people with ADHD even graduate from university. It was something like 5-10%. I think a lot of people with ADHD who don't get diagnosed until later in life were smart enough as children to get good grades but then start doing worse in high school/university when they actually have to study and can't develop good study habits to save their lives. I'm jealous of you. When I was first put on Adderall, it was like my life changed. For the next couple of months I was being productive and slowly fixing everything wrong with my life. But it lost its effectiveness after a point so my psychiatrist kept increasing my dosage. Then I couldn't deal with the side effects anymore so I went back down to a level that wasn't as effective for me. I keep asking my psychiatrist about alternatives but he just wants to keep increasing the dosage. I need to find a new one but looking for good doctors in my area is so fucking exhausting. >>77234023The main thing to be concerned about is that Adderall will worsen any cardiovascular issues. Anxiety too. It can also give you dry mouth which makes your breath stink. That side effect is supposed to be temporary but I'm unlucky so I had to start drinking a lot more water and change my whole oral hygiene routine to compensate. And I'm not sure if it's the the Adderall or a poor diet in general but I've had a lot more intestinal issues since I started taking it. Anyway, stimulants aren't a magic cure for everybody.
>>77234143>I read a study a while ago that said an incredibly low rate of people with ADHD even graduate from university. It was something like 5-10%.Dang. That makes me feel better about myself. I was diagnosed as a teenager but all of the adhd meds caused side effects too heavy to handle at dosages too small to see benefit. Comparing me and people that used but needed to stop meds, I think theres a strong argument for never using them though, at least in some cases. That way if you work hard you learn ways to cope with it.
>>77232191>>77232211Wish I could get on ADHD meds but they just don't even put adults on any waiting list for meds anymore here and I don't have money to go private (if a private prescription would even be accepted which is unlikely)
>>77232191>>77234071Literally this, the only thing amphetamine treats is boredom. One of the sweetest legal drug dealing scams in history. Pervitin does not make you a super soldier. Adderall does not make you a super student. You are a drug addict.
>>77236539>boredomI mean ADHD involves a dopamine deficit so it's basically chronic boredom.
>>77234071>caused them to perceive their own performance as superiorits the same thing
couchlock 130bpm visual novel sweating out of the ass drug
>>77232191>>77232211ADHD is a made up condition perpetuated by undisciplined retards refusing to take responsibility for not making themselves stay on task
>>77232191You can push yourself further, but it's also harder to tell when you're up against your limits. I stopped working out on Adderall days after a heat stroke incident; I felt totally fine one moment and the next I was in a hospital. You can make it work if you're very careful; for me the risk isn't worth it, but if it is to you, please put some extra effort into reading your body.>>77234143I know all these feels. It's extra shitty because amphetamines are practically the only game in town- "alternatives" are basically slight variations on the same thing, or placebos. Then there are bozos like we always get in these threads saying "you're lazy" and "you just like to get high." Nigga my reward system is fundamentally off base- the things normies do that are productive and make them feel good feel like death itself to me and even with SPEED in my veins I have to force myself most of the time. Don't take this path unless you also need extra tools to do what to others comes naturally.I hope anyone reading this who uses Adderall or similar is serious about health and safety. Drink your water, take some supplements, and take off days as often as you need them. These pills can work wonders for people like us but we still need to be vigilant.
