Practice bailing before you put any weight on the bar. He lost 12lbs of lean mass but almost none of that was muscle tissue itself. Don't worry about losing muscle on a cut, as long as you do resistance training it's a non-issue because your body detects you use your muscles which sends a signal to spare that tissue. Most of the studies done on muscle loss during calorie deficit are done on sedentary, bedridden or overweight people and even then they often measure only lean mass instead of muscle mass. Calorie loss causes you to feel sluggish at first before the ketosis kicks in and this delay might be a big reason why people think they start withering away the minute they stop feeding themselves every three hours. Atlaspowershrugged (on youtube) has been doing multi-day fasting during cuts with great success and has useful information about this topic, you should check it out.

How do I beat my post nut clarity?

I don't really have a question, I'm just shouting into the void at my bewilderment over building muscle. It just never worked for me no matter what I did. Low rep high weight. High rep low weight. Go to failure every set. Push through extreme DOMS. Rest until DOMS goes away. Eating 100g+ of protein a day. Nothing matters. I've been DYEL all my life. I got bloodwork done recently in my mid 30s and found out I have clinically low testosterone levels (185ng/dl). My doctors told me it's on the low side but not to worry no need to supplement. I feel like I've been robbed of a normal masculine life because of this. My voice is squeaky, my arms are noodles, my ass, hips and thighs are fat as fuck, I can't build muscle, I have brain fog and lethargy. Just rope me already.
So if targeting the fat in one specific region of the body is impossible and I have gut fat that I want to lose, but also want to build muscle, what's the correct way? Do I just SL 5x5 while eating enough protein and the fat will go while I build muscle? Do I have to cut beforehand then build? I'm mostly just wondering if one will interfere with the other or if it all happens together at once. For clarity, I want to reach a lean build, not super thin but I really don't want a fat gut or a strongfat build.
