I often deal with drunks and other societal vermin at work, it's much easier to get them to fuck off now whereas before they would escalate things to the point of challenging me to fight

But getting better at a sport helped cause I've had multiple girls (and guys) come up to tell me how cool I look. Had one girl tell me she always looks forward to seeing me when we happen to show up together.

So that helped.

What didn't help was the fact that no matter how many times it happens I can't stop spilling spaghetti all over the place immediately.

yes, but mostly indirectly. it was more like the compliments and attention i received from others as a result of getting fit made me more confident. though, i will say that as a guy who grew up stick-thin, insecurities i had about athletic competition and going shirtless disappeared

When I first started working out, people did start to compliment me more but mainly from gay men which sucked. After going consistently for like 3 years women have started to take notice. One girl at the bar approached me one time and told me she thought i was big. Nothing ever came of it but I am still happy to know women take notice. One thing I realize is that compliments are like ratios. If a 3 have said you look big then 10 other women have said it behind your back.

Also women are more likley to want to keep talking to you even when you are boring. You got to realize that male inflation is real so exercising constantly makes your chances better.

This question comes in two parts so I'll give two answers;
No I was still an insecure little faggot who needed female validation like 90% of this board. After accepting I'm just big boned and let myself go like an off season bodybuilder I have more confidence because I'm not starving like before but also escorts killed my need for female validation.

As for seeking validation from women which this entire thread is about; don't.
If you need confidence with girls just get a hooker, it's like being on stage and performing. After enough girls you rented (cause you're not a faggot who goes to clubs looking to get laid) you've built that confidence because girls are no longer a mystery so you can talk to her normally and you're not motivated by sex and validation, so you cut through the problem women too. It worked for me

I don't even train that much but diet when I'm too fat or too weak and willing to show up for workouts 1-2 a week to at least keep strength when I'm not in the mood to train hard does wonders
picrel moreover strength and the cardio from warmups and sets alone is just great to have since I always feel capable of stuff like they're just a matter of time

Improved every aspect of it. Getting fit is one of the few things in life that has zero downsides. Getting in shape carries literally zero cons. Some people whine about how they don't have time but once you get used to being fit, you'll seek it out and make time.

Lifting decreased my anxiety big time. The mental gains came before the modest progress on my body. I don’t really know how to explain it but I’m more at ease mentally and stuff that would phase me does not phase me now.
