Cico isn't a diet, it's a guideline and principle by which diets work. To say you're "doing cico to lose weight" is like saying you're "doing electron transfer to charge your phone." What you MEANT to say was "will eating less salvage me?" (which you forgot the punctuation for by the way!)
Anyway yes so long as you commit to it as a lifestyle change.
