remember when this entire board got psyop’d into doing starting strength
>>
you are looking very pear shaped anon *licks lips*
>>
/pol/ was the most affected board because this place's fitness contrarianism means there will always be someone to bitch and moan about anything and someone to follow them in hating SS
for poltards it was the cool program named after their loser role models' squadron so they adopted it as a larp
>>
SS is unironically a gud routine doe

Its like a cheat code to getting stronger than 99.99% of ur gym within 3 months

Once you do that, u can switch to a normal bodybuilding routine and keep the benefits u gained from SS forever
>>
I did SS for a couple months, went to 531 with chins, single leg squats, dips and knee raises as accessories I do every workout. I'm still a beginner but was having trouble recovering while doing lots of cardio, read ss is not intended to be ran with lots of cardio and decided to swap. It's still squat/bench/press/dl based so I'm not sure how it'll be different for my build. I feel like the only real issue with ss is not doing chins and bulking unnecessarily (ie, at all if you are a normal weight).

never ran that shit
terrible program
the bro split has always been everything you need

As opposed to the amazing quality we have on this board now?

i havent seen anyone give routine advice on /fit/ in years

people finally figured out that

1. training more than 3 days a week as a natty is pointless

2. PPL does once a week is the best routine (Push, Rest, Legs, Rest, Pull, Weekend off)
>>
>>77240114
Millennials spent their 20s getting fat and only training legs thinking it would get them girls lmao
>>
>>77242308
>hitting every muscle once ever 7 days is best
Fucking retard
>>
>>77240114
Would be much better if they did
If you do ANYTHING besides get to 1/2/3/4 ASAP you are genuinely NGMI
Anything else is a massive, ineffective waste of time
>but it will make you fat and give you a big butt and
Those are retarded internet memes. Every "example" you've seen of that is BS or someone with bottom tier genetics. Getting yourself from jack shit to a 2 plate bench and 1 plate press will make you look better than any combination of "bodybuilding" shit

Cope.

I dumbbell incline press the 100's at my gym and I have a extremely well developed chest with perfect nipples, well develop upper chest, etc.

Ive seen guys at my gym with a 2 plate (225lbs) for reps and they have literal non-existent chests compared to me.

And how's the rest of your body?

It's either bait or he's trying to make /fit/ as dyel as possible.
>>
I do starting strength to make my ass fat and attract men
>>
>>77242308
PPL is absolute shit you should be doing full body 3x per week hitting every muscle every 2-3 days
>>
>>77242334
As a strength athlete I agree. 1/2/3/4 are gay out dated barbell elitist numbers. If you only care about aesthetics they shouldn't even be a concern. They're highly technical lifts (aside from maybe the deadlift).

I'm stronger than 99% of the people in my gym, but I'm a dyel and look unaesthetic ass hell. If you just want to be good at the barbell lifts then spam the fuck out of them. But if you want to get big,n your better off spamming machines and dumbbells.
>>
>>77241763
any routine with progressive overload will get you the same, if not better results
>>
>>77242327
You severely underestimate how easily achieved and little muscle mass are needed for a 1 plate ohp and 225 bench.
>>
The best I could do working out for about 5 months was pressing 50+50lb dbs for 5 reps. I just went back to lifting @ home with adjustable dbs and I can only press 40+40lb for like 8 reps.
When I was going to the gym I never saw anyone bench 2 plates, and 2 platers were a tiny minority.
