I workout in multiple Golds in Tokyo and japs are obsessed with squat. Literally everyone does it, meanwhile leg press is always free for me. What’s funny is they do incredibly light weight(2 or less plates) for many reps and have stick legs

im a powersharter and i basically stopped back squatting unless its 90-100%rm for a few repssetting up is a hassle and other exercises are better for hypertrophy
btw westside did very few squats/deads volume wise and they were very very strong.
