also whats a good pull up routine?Trying to +1 ur reps or set numbers?
yeah if you live in 700 sqft apartment and once a century pandemic triggered a shutdown that doesnt seem like it's going to end in two weeks.
>>77244538Add a weighted vest or a belt and you're set. If you have average genetics, you can look athletic from only doing calisthenics.
>>77244538Considering you're belgian, or at least some kind of european you could just walk to any of the 200 parks near you and do calisthenics there>Hurr dur i live near immigrantsFitness is the least of your concerns then
>>77244538Id get one
>>77244538i like it for dips which are usually pretty tough to do id get one with a back cushion as well for hanging leg raise but im sure you could make that one work if you had to
>>77244538They're not bad. Better than a doorframe pullup bar, functional, good price point. If you do weighted pullups without the strictest slowest form, expect it to swing a bit. But if your goal is an ACTUAL home gym you can do a full workout in, then that requires a power rack which makes that tower pretty redundant.
>>77244538Looks fine if youre 160 pounds and under 5'10. If youre larger, that thing is going to be too short, shake, rsattle and roll. Annoying AFI have found that the best way ti use chinups/pullups is for volume. Strive to do the greatest number of total reps in a workout. This usually menas do NOT take sets to failure. Stop well short of failure and do more sets. Over time, add more sets. This is assuming hypertrophy is your goal. I also think this has the best effect on explosive upper body strnegth, as you train yourself to do high quality, full ROM reps, not jsut grinding out shitty form reps because youre exhausted. Even statrt with 5 sets of 2-3 reps and slowly work up to 10 serts of 2-3, then start slowly progressing the reps of each set. Go for full ROM (dead hang, chest to bar) over ego numbers, especially if bodybuilding or explosive strnegth is your goal.
>>77244538do gyms still have these? i remember seeing this thing fall over many times when people were trying to do weighted pullups on this. i always just stayed away from it
>>77244788Its really a loser item, designed by people who have seen others do chinups, but never really trained themselves.
>>77244538A door frame pullup bar is much better, you just have to make sure you have an entryway it’ll fit actually fit on.
>>77244538>Is this thing worth it for a home gymyes.its been a game changer for me. honestly the best money ive spent in the past few years
>>77244538I have one. Its great for a quick pump before going outside. Also, its always a plus to be able to flex pullups casually in front on normies when the ocassion is appropiate, e.g when you walk by a calisthenics park and you dare them or just to show off in front of your girl
>>77245285>lets do a pullup contest!u in middle school or some shit?
>>77244538Friendly reminder to measure your ceiling height and give yourself at least 1 foot of clearance for pull-ups (3 feet if your ultimate goal is muscle-ups)
>>77245303>this nigga don't like competitionlow test
>>77245285You need to be 18 to post here
>>77245285> Its great for a quick pump before going outside
>>77245422I thought we all did this?
>>77244538i bought pic-related(except it's orange and black) for 70 dollars during black friday. it was the cheapest one i could find at the timei love it. it's made of metal. it feels durable.
>>77244755Yeah, I would just have a squat rack with a dip bar attachement if I was building a home gym.
just get rings
>>7724453830 minutesPullups every minute. After 2-3 workouts you find your sweet spot rep nrthat can be maintained for 30 min. Then increase rep nr for the first 2-3 sets. Then the following 2-3 sets.Add weights if you want.I'm up to 124 in 30 min
>>77244538Personally prefer something like this with the weight stack for cable exercises too, but it's a little more expensive
>>77245495i used to but that takes away energy from socialmaxxing
>>77244538not worth it.i had one exactly like this>good for pullups>terrible for dips, one width, no adjustment, usually too wide>terrible for boxing bag hanging>no back support for ab workoutso next apartment i just got a semi-rack w a pullup bar up top.you can do same shit you can do here, but you can also do barbell exercises and have holes for addons. takes up same space as this shit. maybe like 100 euros more expensive.
>>77244538They're a good alternative to weak walls, but they're still light enough to be rickety, so you'll do a few fewer pull-ups each set than you can on something rock solid. They're not useless but if you can put something on a strong wall, do that.
>>77244538best type to get is the type you mount in the walls. saves so much space.
>>77244538I have one and I like it. I use it for dips and pull ups/chin ups. Both regular and weighted. I’m about 155 and can do +70 on it with no problem of stability. I also hook up a pulley to the pull up bar and use it for tricep push downs. If you have the space I think it’s a great addition, but getting a bench/squat rack is a better use of space if you can only get one.
>>77244571>>Hurr dur i live near immigrants>Fitness is the least of your concerns thenThat's actually more of a reason to be fit.
>>77245303You sound fat>>77245417Kys>>77245422Imagine not wanting your looks to be peak then crying about being lonely in a snail beauty pageant forum
