Been lifting consistently for 6 months with a protein intake maybe too low for hypertrophy. Did I gain mostly strength instead of size, and can eating enough protein now still make my muscles grow if I keep lifting the same weights?

you need to push close to failure to gain muscle, you can keep the weight but each set should be hard and at least the last set should be close to failure, IE get to the point where if you do one more rep you might drop the weight on yourself
