So is it 1g of protein per LB or KG of bodyweight?
>>77245915>2g/kg to gain mass>1.5g/kg to mantain mass >a minimum of 1g/kgPounds are only good to measure fat.
Per pound of lean mass.Meaning your body without counting your fat.
Neither, after 80-100g it's diminishing returns regardless of your weight, look into modern research not from the 90s.
>>77246062You don't get 40% more muscle from eating 140 g instead of 100 g, but the 10 - 20% more muscle you are is worth it.
>>77245915I cant even reach 60g per day.
>>77246093COEAD (carton of eggs a day)
1.3 grams of PDCAAS 1.0 protein per pound of lean body mass.
>>772459151g lean, high-quality protein / kg bodyweight is the minimum for good health. If you want to put on muscle, you'll need to increase your protein intake (to something like 1.3, 1.6, or 2.0 g / kg). Protein should come from a variety of both plant and animal sources, and health outcomes are better if you err on the low side of the range above instead of increasing your consumption of high-fat, low-quality protein to increase your overall intake.
>1g per lb or any gram per lb calculationExcessive, will have you going for garbage like fucking protein in beans or rice to convince yourself you've reached it or buy industrial waste (whey)>Any measurement per "lean body mass"Midwit self-flagelation, impossible to measure at any capacity. Water and bones are lean mass too>gram per kilogramMost reasonable approach
>>77247156Post body
>>77247291>Most reasonable approachDo you mean to say most enjoyable approach?
>>772459151 pound of meat per pound of goal body weight
>>77247291Do I really need just 75g protein? That feels like so little. Maybe I am overeating, I find it odd I do 10 hours of cardio a week on top of lifting and don't lose weight. I don't try to bulk, I just eat when hungry and try to stick to protein rich stuff after working out. I am 5'11 and I have some tummy pudge I don't want but I also don't want to cut/track calories like a maniac. :(
>>77247303It is both. Non roiders dont need more than 150g of protein as an upper limit and even then 150g is an average figure for someone who counts using gram per lb at normal body weight
>>7724731180g if you're average weight at a healthy bmi (65-75kg) and moderately active is good. What the fuck are you smoking. I hit a 200kg deadlift in 10 months eating just that, i've been closer to 100 on some days and most of the time closer to 70.Protein paranoia only became thing with whey marketing.
>>77247314>It is both. Non roiders dont need more than 150g of protein as an upper limit and even then 150g is an average figure for someone who counts using gram per lb at normal body weightEven someone taking roids to grow muscle will take around 2 g per kilo of lean mass.
>>77247325>What the fuck are you smoking.Conventional wisdom floating around the internet these days. Thanks, I'll stop stressing about it. I think I'm hitting around 75g just eating normally.
>>77247338Since you do a fair amount of cardio you should be more wary of your carbohydrates and fats than protein. If you eat animal products regularly especially dairy (especially 0% fat dairy) then protein is a self sorting issue
>>77245915>So is it 1g of protein per LB or KG of bodyweight?Better do both (add them up), just to be sure.
>>77247294Holy fuck you're tiresome.
>>77248223Go easy on him, he has literal brain damage from malnourishment.
