How do i get better its been 2 months and im still shit
I fell for the get oversized muscles meme and i cant run for shit.
2 months isn't a lot but you should see some improvement by then. box more and do more jump rope>>77246099retard
>>77246086The great thing about boxing is that you can easily track your volume by training rounds. Get more rounds every week>heavy bag rounds>pads>skipping rope>pushups>situps>burpees>mountain climbers>shadow boxing>speed bag>slip bag>double endJust build up total rounds of those per week. Are you doing roadwork?
You have no technique and punch like a retard. You need roadwork at zone 2 every day to build a cardio base
>I'm going to put on some gloves and run around in a square exchanging punches and getting hit in the head>surely this will make me healthy and fit
>>77246309>tee hee hee Im so smart
>>77246311>casually trading concussive blows and only being as aggressive as your opponentThere's something to be said there honestly. You sign a waiver so it's not like you can't swing for the fields but not mentioning it and using it in a surprising way is a dick move and they might just start fighting you for real.
>>77246099Basically to get a bigger gas tank go 100% power on the heavy bag for more and more combos/seconds and do sprints. Medium intensity running is best to get more work in.
>>77246086Try training longer than two months, you fucking retard.
>>77246086>How do i get better its been 2 months and im still shitYou learn to relax your body while moving and while punching. When you manage that and it clicks, then cardio isn't an issue anymore. Running won't help, enither will "adding rounds" ad infinitum. You have to learn the correct skill and no amount of adding the wrong skill will help you.I have much better cardio and much stronger punches than when I could do 175 push ups per set and did HIIT sprints. Boxing is a skill, not strength. Strength does nothing by itself in boxing. "will strength make me betetr ta boxing" is like asking "will strength make me better at playing chess" or "at juggling".
>>77246260this, heavy bag training do 3 minute rounds and rest for a minute, aim to throw 180 punches a round, you'll get to 12 rounds eventually, keeping it at that level is a different story though, honestly if you miss a couple of days you'll drop down to 9 it takes dedication to keep that level of fitness.
>>77246086There 3 things you can do 1-find a hill and sprint it.Yes there is a hill near you, even if you have to drive away there's a hill near you, do 3-6 sprints 2-4 times per week.In case you don't find one (yes you can) then just go out and jog for 10-20 minutes but jog at a slightly above moderate pace for 1 minute and then sprint for 10-30 seconds, then continue jogging and repeat until you complete the distance, this is inferior to hill sprinting but still pretty good.2-hiit box training. On a separate session to your boxing training do 30 second of shadowboxing or bag work but as fast and hard as you can, rest for 10 seconds and repeat 6 times, 30 seconds on, 10 seconds off, 6 reps of this is going to be one set, do 3-6 sets with 2-3 minutes of rest in between sets.3-learn to get more efficient This doesn't actually improve cardio and is arguably the hardest one here but waste as little energy as possible during training by doing as little as humanly possible. If your opponent is moving away don't chase, either stand where you are or move towards them with very small normal steps, just walk to them very slowly, this will make them come to you instead of having to chase them.If they are pressuring you, don't move away, clinch up and lean on them, make them carry your weight.Only put your guard up when in punching range or get really good at head movement. If they are throwing combos clinch up instead of shelling up.Throw as little shots as possible. If you get really powerful by lifting heavy weight as fast as possible every shot will do damage.Hit their body a lot.If you get good at this you can have the worst gas tank possible and still out perform them but this requires to get really good at boxing like an asshole.
>>77246086>Spar with my brother >He keeps hitting my body >Punches the wind out of me >Gets mad I got tired easily Then don't hit me in the stomach ya nigger
>>77246086Only explode when you have to explode, breath properly and stop flexing when you're not doing anything. In other words, relax.
>>77246309*Double legs your scrawny ass and literally rape you*
>>77246086I've been training for about a year.I now do 14 rounds plus 30 minutes of interval running. Plus 25 min walking home.Listening to music helps. I time my rounds with the songs, and footwork is more fun that way.I remember in Rocky 3, Apollo helps Rocky train his footwork with music, so hey, maybe there's some merit.
>>77246086>howlearn to relax. You lose energy from staying tense. Start conceptualizing tension as a resource that you're consuming throughout a sparing session.
>>77246086Don’t under estimate the importance of road work.
>>77246086do cardio retard
>>77246086Gsp says he doesn't believe in cardio
Run 1 min hard run and 2 min Jogs 4 times Also spar more u prob gas out cause your so new so you can’t relax in the ring
>>77247554GSP has CTE
>>77246086Spar, run, shadow box it is literally that easy
>>77246086>I'll just keep on dodging and blocking youOk then let's see how that goes.
>>77247874Not to mention that boxers refuse to do mma because in a real fight you can't just philly shell until they're gassed. Boxers are out of their element vs a wrestler. Op should also look to get good at bjj in a worst case scenario, that's basically the only reason Anderson Silva was undefeated for so long. Anyways, the goal is to be the best boxer possible, do your cardio after strength every time, and have some days where you practice boxing first so you aren't always slower and weaker boxing after a lifting session.
>>77246086Clav was right, Logan Paul mogs. He might be a douche but he's top 1% body type.
>>77246086You are gassing from shit cardio but you also don't have technique so you're probably being very tense during sparring. If you're not loose you will gas much faster.
>>77247922He was but he ruined his body
>>77246086Stop running and start doing more sport specific movements.-Alternating unilateral dumbbell clean and press with moderate weight for 5-10 continuous minutes to recreate all the up and down and punching with the kinetic chain behind it.-Landmine circuit boxer squats, core rotations, cossack squats, Landmine presses, oblique crunches, whatever, for 5-10 minutes, to basically do the same kind of stimulus but with more range of motion on all the parts of the chain.Or do it for 3 minutes at a time with a minute break between to condition specifically for boxing and take the same workload into the 6th+ round. If it becomes too much, soend a round doing something lighter like jumping rope. Then get back to the higher intensity work next round.
>>77246260How do you keep this going for years and not die from heart failure at 35yo?
>>77246086You can hit me with the best you got. Im n9t going down for 5 minutes straight. Heh, you're gonna feel real stupid pal. In 5 entire minutes.
pace yourself before you gas yourself
>>77248092Cardio is good for you.
