Got peer pressured by everyone around me into trading my bike for a car and discovered the beautiful American tradition of spending half your income to avoid using your legs. Don't do what I did. t. me in the red car
>>77247635I waste so much fucking time walking. It's half an hour to my office, half an hour to the shops, and 45 minutes to the gym. American cities are so fucked bros.
>>77247635I'm in the same boat. Can't even bike anywhere I need to go without risking my life.same with riding a horse, same with just walkingI love paying 100+ as a bare minimum car insurance for no reason other than obeying the law, because they'll never pay out
I love riding my bike. The only people that ever talk shit about bikes are the morbidly obese or elderly.
>>77247649I’m paying $150 a month for insurance, just spent $1,000 fixing this shitty little honda so the state would legally allow me to exist on the road, and the tank is already empty after one week. I genuinely wish I could travel back in time and stop myself from ever entering the rmv. >>77247654I was so jealous earlier as I was sitting in traffic and cyclists were passing me, the weather was so nice too >>77247643I live in the northeast and even our cities are becoming less and less pedestrian/cyclist friendly
>>77247643Half an hour is a fine walkMy commute in bongland is 1hr30, consisting of 2 buses then a 30min walkThe walk is the best partYou could get one of those adult push scooters if it's really stressing you out, or jog it if you can shower at the other end
>>77247635You could probably get a new bike, they're not very expensive>>77247643I walk a lot, and after visiting Europe I can never enjoy walking in American cities as much as I did before. Everywhere feels like you're walking on the shoulder of a highway in comparison to European cities where pedestrians come first and cars are secondary.>>77247654I really enjoy riding my e-bike. It's like flying on a magic carpet. Honestly I think half of car use could be swapped for e-bikes overnight if people had the will and infrastructure.>My commute in bongland is 1hr30, consisting of 2 buses then a 30min walkEach way?
lmao all these fucking Euraniggers crying about how Americans have cars. You actually sit around getting emotional because people on the other side of the world drive to work instead of riding a shitty bus full of shit-stinking Indians.Pathetic
Euraniggers will never know the feeling of pic related.
>>77247824I also load my ebike in it and go on trips. That's right. Ebike. You know that makes you screech with rage.
>>77247818>Euraniggers crying about how Americans have carsNo, Americans crying about how Americans require cars and Euraniggers giggling in the corner
>>77247832Nice try, Sergio, but you're not fooling anyone.
>>77247834you saying you don't need a car to get to the grocery store?lucky you
>>77247834Or is your name SIRGAY?
>>77247824Why do you faggots pretend to love nature, but you'd shit and piss your pants if you were actually left on your own without your manmade conveniences?
>>77247842>Let me make up shit in my head about you and get angry over it
>>77247845Not angry, just curious.
>>77247635>spending half your incomeA car shouldn't be 50% or your net income.Aim for 10-15%Ideally sub 5%I'm at 7.1% myself. That's for age, insurance, and average monthly repairs
>>77247847You're curious to the reason for something you entirely made up in you head? The mental state of bus-riding Euraniggers.
>>77247854>something you entirely made up in you head?I didn't though. You "people" have panic attacks when your car breaks down.
>>77247853UK is poorer than the poorest state in the USA.So of course a shitty car would cost half their income the same way some broke niggers would spend all his money on a shitty car with fancy rims.https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/magazine-columnists/3824090/all-50-states-richer-than-britain/
>>77247859>I continue to make shit up in my head and mock you about it
>>77247862It's well documented, but keep coping, champ.
>>77247672Learn to wrench. What was wrong with it?
>>77247635Bro, you never sell wheels of any kind. You only buy more and more.t. 3 cars, 1 truck, 4 bicycles, 1 ebike, 1 esk8, and hungry for moooooorrrrrrrrrreeeeee
>>77247672>ohmygodseriouslyihavetopsylikeTWOTHOASANDDOLLARSannaulyholyshitfuckmylifeyou poor bitch. or poor bro. ur poor. lmao. fucking 2k. you're sooo poor man. bahaha.
>>77247853i havent had a car since i was a teen im getting one soon for free, im a neet so it'll be nice to head to the mountains whenever i want and i can sleep in it it'll be sick!
>>77247867Provide us with this documentation. Some random neurotic woman on tiktok having a mental breakdown for viral content isnt "documentation".
>>77247860How do we know OP is from the UK?>>77247894Normal fags freaking out about car, house, or any repairs is normal. That's like forcing Anons here to talk to woman and get her number.Hell of a task if you have no skill in that area
>>77247824>>77247829so basically you're too fat to ride a real bike
>>77247635>spending half your income to avoid using your legsFinancecuck/wrenchlet issue
>>77247824this isn't the flex you think it is
>>77247936told you it would make you mad kekNothing makes you Lance Armstrong wannabes fly into a rage then a guy taking a leisurely ride on ebike enjoying scenery.>>77247948as you sit at a bus stop in your overcrowded city waiting for the niggermobile to pick you up to take you across town to buy a bag of "crisps" or whatever you faggots eat.
>>77247981>leisurely ride on ebike enjoying sceneryI want to do this without making a road trip, that's all
>>77247635If you live somewhere with lots of bike paths and/or legal sidewalk riding, biking around is pretty based if you're not in a huge hurry or carrying lots of cargo or going extremely far.But I see a lot of cyclists riding around in traffic like "durr i r trust deez vehicle around me!" ...and I also see a lot of white-painted "ghost bikes" with little plaques and lots of flowers on the sides of streets, just below the tops of hills more than anywhere.
I’m a 34 year old American and I’ve never owned a car and have only driven one a few times about a decade ago doing driving lessons to get my license . I get around with a combination of my road bike and the subway where I live. As you might expect from someone living like this, I’m probably the biggest loser on this entire board which is why I’ve gone three and a half decades without needing a car. I know how much not having a car has negatively impacted my life one of the ost basic things a young person gets for independence but I still don’t have any motivation to get one. My level of autism should be studied
>>77248030I am on the same boat. I'm 30 and get around via public transit and bike. Recently though my area has gotten very niggerish so I only use my bike to get around these days. Driving long distances gives me Mal de Débarquement Syndrome that lasts for days. Since you take the subway I imagine you also live in a city. You don't even need a car in that case.
My insurance is $600 a month currently on my first car (33 y/o), feels bad man and driving is nothing but stress here in new york city
>>77248050$600 a month is crazy, I'm in Boston and just started driving in my 30s as well but I am paying $200
>>77248050>>77248076you guys live in one of the few cities where public transportation is probably good enough to not need a car (of course nyc, dont know about boston but im sure). surprising to see two assumed losers (if youre like me) who arent driving until their 30s decided to get one now
good for you. but for me, the distance between the only place i can afford to live, and the only place with jobs, is too far to bike. my commute is an hour and a half round trip by car
>>772481083 hours a day commute. what a life
>>77248231But if some Euranigger spent 1.5 hours walking to a bus stop, taking the bus to the train, walking to another bus stop and then finally walking to their job that would somehow be ok.
>>77247635>trading my bike for a carNigga just keep on using the bike?
>>77247635I live in a big euro city and having a car just makes no sense for me. Work is within 10 minutes on a bike or 20 minutes walking, it would unironically take me longer with a car if you add the time to find a parking spot. I could afford to have one, but it would just stand in place 99% of the time, wasting my money on insurance, inspections and value depreciation. The only times I need a car is when i go to the long shooting range outside the city once every 2 weeks or so, but it makes more sense to just rent a car for that. I'm sure this will likely change when kids enter the picture, but for now, literally no point in owning one. Maybe I'd feel the need if i was into cars or if i was a lazy fatfuck, but I'm neither.>>77247643>walking>waste timeYou are performing cardio that you should be doing for health and longevity reasons anyways as your commute. Your commute time is effectively zero when you consider you'd have to do cardio anyways if it took you 10 minutes one way in a car, that is an actual waste of time because the car drive does nothing for you other than fuck your back and eat money. If you consider over an hour of cardio per day to be overkill, consider a bicycle.
>>77248231can you read? i said the ROUND TRIP is 1.5 hours. not as bad but still not good
>>77247824>Japanese caroh say can you see
>>77249473Tell me what domestic SUV is equivalent to a 4runner for heavy off roading? And isnt made by some drunken union democrat who voted for Harris and falls apart at 100k miles.
>>77248443I literally cannot afford a new quality bike because I am getting raped by car expenses
