"Protein" is a very broad term. A lot of "protein" is lacking in some of the necessary ingredients the human body uses to construct proteins that it can use to build muscle. If your main source of protein is a seed, bean, grain, or nut, you're going to be missing out on a lot of gains because the building blocks simply are not there.

The only grift here is companies advertising their product as protein rich when in reality it's got zero tryptophan or glyphosate and it cannot be used to build lean mass in humans.

There's 100g+ of protein in 1lb of chicken breast. High glycemic carbs get you pumped faster and increases muscle gain. Drink a soda and eat some chicken sandwiches. Make the chicken super thin and do 2 of them so it doesn't dry out the bread in the oven carbs won't make you fat unless you have 0 muscle and use like 2 tablespoons of sugar to fully replenish your glycogen.
