>>77249017Lyle "Yakub" McDonald
>>77249017He's been right about literally everything. The man has never been wrong.
>>77249022>yep, I've reached my peak, time to quit while I'm still ahead
>>77249281And unlike your roided out heroes he's still alive, curious.
He is cocky as fuck but he is right.
>>77249017This guy proved that you can be the most annoying antisocial egotistical piece of shit ever as long as you are right about literally everything you have ever said. people will put up with you and they will respect you. High IQ is a literal cheat code to life.
>>77249017He's a low T bitch
>>77249718because at the end of the day i dont need to be friends with my exercise scientist, but i do want them to be autistically and meticulously dedicated to being correct and not publishing garbage. there is a lyle for every realm and at the same time, i will admit hes probably right about big 3 barbell lifts being pointless for hypertrophy, but will ignore him because theyre fun to do
QRD??
>>77249745>and at the same time, i will admit hes probably right about big 3 barbell lifts being pointless for hypertrophy, but will ignore him because theyre fun to doThats not what he says. He says that you need to have favorable body proportions/leverages to benefit from big 3. People with very long upper legs with fail squat due to lower back giving out first, thus reducing hypertrophy. He's stance is that if you are built from them, you can do them and grow from them, if not just avoid them.
I’m not built for the big 3. Maybe deadlifts. What does he recommend?
>>77249017>mogs you
>>77249017Is a dirty jew? Fuck off
>>77249728For natural lifters, provided you're not clinically hypogonadal, test levels seem to have no correlation to strength as opposed to androgen receptor density and training intensity. Picrel is a lifetime natural and his blood tests always pop for abt 550ng/dl on average.
>>77250419>Picrel is a lifetime naturallmfao
>>77250377Manlet twink, why do people take this bum seriously?
>>77249764he talked about proportions but as a whole he seemed against them due to sheer injury risk even for people built for them. and hes right. but i will keep benching because its cool and i like doing it. i will also pec deck after to make sure i actually am targetting my pecs and please lord lyle
>>77250728he's against people recommending them as the default exercises for all lifters and saying that they are mandatory. I'd say they're a bad recommendation to an uncoached beginner in general because they're technically difficult
Random chicks at my gym can hack squat more than 1pl kekhttps://youtu.be/olwgm4Qli_4?t=2281
>>77250419>For natural lifters, provided you're not clinically hypogonadal, test levels seem to have no correlation to strength as opposed to androgen receptor density and training intensity./fit/ isn't ready for the forbidden knowledge yet
>>77250771>technically difficultPretty much this, you can fuck up a bunch of joints in the Big 3 if you have shit technique and as other anons pointed out using them for hypertrophy of "the main muscle" depends on your leverages. I got up to 80kg of BB Bench Press with shit chest gains because I am Tricep-dominant, as soon as I switch to Incline DB press my chest started blowing up.
By training daily with sub maximal loads, you accumulate high quality practice without the systemic fatigue that often derails progress in high intensity programs. Lyle is full of shit.
>>77251136Whatever you say mr KEKsraeltel
>>77249017Yeah if you follow him and a good biomechanics guy like Eric Seifert then that's all you really need desu. So much of the fitness industry is fad chasing or misinformation.
He has good info, but he's such an emotional wreck, it's embarrassing. I was in his fb group for awhile and 45% of the content is him pretending to not understand valid arguments which oppose his views. Another 45% of the content is group members seeing who can crawl the furthest up his ass. The remaining 10% is very valuable information.
>>77252035Yeah its a weird group. You dont know what jokes you can or can not crack. Some days theres a humor post and hes all in. Others someone responds jokingly to something and he trashes them. Cant pick it. Even with serious questions when you think he will snap at someone he wont and vice versa.I just observe for questions that I find interesting, but yeah its a good look into his tard mind
>>77249022How does someone train for so long yet can't deadlift more than 300 with a belly that big?
>>77252062I mean I joined that group a year ago and anytime i have any fitness question i just make a post there, i was basically spamming the group at one point, and he always responds. Hasn't insulted me even once. From my observation, he only snaps at you if you are obviously low iq or trying to play some weird social game.
>>77249022This just proves that genetics determine 110% of your results from working out. Like this guy is an expert in hypertrophy and diet, and you just know he's tried steroids because he's been highly involved in the fitness industry since he 90s, so he would have been tempted to experiment on himself. He doesn't seem to be the straight edge noble natty type.Yet he's DYEL.No, you will not finally unlock those gains you've always wanted when you try this new workout routine or supplement.Just accept that you are forever DYEL after years of working out, and cope about it by continuing to tryhard at the gym, and spend thousands on supplements. One day, you may (NOT).
>>77249275He said no way did Rippetoe get Zach to a 3 plate squat or whatever in that time frame, impossible. So Rip made that now famous thread about him and showing the squat
What happened tween Lyle and Leangains?
