Redpill me on water fasting, it seems like a great way to save money in addition to losing weight
>>77252284it's good. just be mindful if you go past 3 days that you need to ease your body back into eating or else you will cause stomach damage. eat soup first
Ive done 2 48 hour fasts in the last two months. Im gonna do another in about 3 weeks. Been lifting for a year and got some moderate gains but the fat stayed. The fasts dropped like 60% of the visible fat i had. Muscle loss was not noticble and my lifts stayed the same before and after. Basicly if you have abundant excess bodyfat go ahead but if your to lean be carefull cause your excessive muscle will be used for fuel. I will probably only do 1 or 2 more 48 hour fasts if i lose a bit of muscle thats ok i just want the visceral fat gone. Make sure you have plenty electrolytes to drink during the fast and peferably some broth/lean protien to break it. Everytime you sleep on an empty stomach your body cuts fat like crazy.
>>77252284I once lost 60kg (132lbs) in less than a year doing water fasting. No muscular loss as far as I could tell and I felt incredibly thorough. I would usually fast 3-7 days (longest I've done is 14 days) only drinking sparkling water + unflavored electrolyte supplements and get a single, normal sized meal on "rest" days. Managed to get to a healthy weight in no time and kept it off for a few years until I I went full retard by getting into weed when COVID started. About to start doing it again next week.
Don't trust a fart after 48 hours
>>77252373Iirc you're missing out on most of the benefits of autophagy by only going for 48 hours. 72 hours would be better as a minimum
>>77252791Literally nowhere did he say or even imply that was the reason he was fasting
