My dad turned 67 earlier this year and he suffered retinal detachment and my mother has got high blood sugar and she is obese at 59. There is literally nothing more blackpilling than seeing your parents detiorate away while you are unable to do anything. It's really depressing anons. Love your parents because you never know when you are gonna lose them

I’ve been trying to nag the old guy I hang out with to come on little walks with me and maybe light dumbell work (I’m a huge fan of weighted walks so maybe them even down the track). He’s in denial about how bad his health really is but it might be able to squeeze a few more months out of him.

>Your dad had you when he was 25 (or younger)
You must be 18 or older

yeah lol, in about 20 years, when yourself will be in 60-s, the time to "lose" your parents is NOW
seen it dozen times, middle aged wrecks always grumpy an unhappy and stressed the fuck out getting second breath after their parents finally croack
cause if u don't have life of your own it means they didn't let you go, or you didn't kick their leash so to speak

How jacked/strong can you get in your 60s 70s realistically
I've been wondering if strength training start to feel like shit when you start aging and slowly lose muscle and strength. I mean obviously you're much better off training but it must be tough staying motivated when you get worse no matter how hard you train.
I hope by the time I'm that age there are ways to at least partially offset that. Like TRT but more advanced

Strong, no problem.
Jacked, more of a problem. Not even because of the muscles but because your skin will lose collagen no matter what you do making you look all wrinkly and saggy.

the dude in this pic is probably 60+

there's this old boy at my gym that does huge tricep pushdowns with perfect form. Natty and lean. gigantic biceps.relative to his frame slaps the resident gigaroider on that one lift (roider is also a good guy to to be clear)

You can still do it but it's much harder, very important to bank muscle while you're "young", but never stop lifting/exercising to maintain it as long as you can. Do it right and you can be strong into your 90s if you're not dead by then.

Probably the most important thing for any age, but definitely 30+ is to not be fat. Gain muscle, for sure, but lose fat. By the time you're 60 if you've had all this fat grinding down your joints and straining your back you're going to hurt and even if you can lose it (possible, but probably really hard), much of the damage will already have been done.
