So whenever I'm squatting and I'm trying to do the 'sit back' cue, does that mean I put my back into extension while bending at the knees to push my ass back? Or do I keep my back neutral and just try to hold onto the brace in my gut to keep from my low back from rounding.

I've noticed the latter causes way more soreness in my back, but I'm worried the extension in my back is going to fuck me over in the long-run.

This also applies to deadlifts.
>inb4 read the book

I'm squatting 365 for 5, but feel like I'm doing it all wrong. Pic rel is kind of a good depiction of what I think is going on. I'm not over-extending my low back, I'm just bracing hard and to start the descent I'm throwing my back into extension to sit my butt back while breaking at the knees.

Please, provide some levity, especially if you squat low bar and have a good number behind you.

and ditto for deadlifts

one of the reasons she looked somewhat aesthetic (starved out & close to decade ago but you keep reposting her insta shit here bot) was her feet parallel in both squat and deadlift
supposedly you need to splay feet and knees and she does none of that, squat is a bow for her and deadlift is "all back" :D and she's record breakin powersharter isn't she?

the correct technique is to not do it of course, avert your eyes when you feel you're approaching retardo heavy stick, there's not one good thing u can do with it
except maybe if u grab it like pole vault but underhand and raise it up but for that it's too long and heavy, u'd need like cheapo 10 kgs bar

Just start hyperextended. Wenning who is a very strong squatter says to start in extension because you're gonna lose extension anyway on heavy weight, and it's better to lose extension from hyperextended position. Rip is a memer, he's only good for novices. Start figuring out westside, it's great for raw natties too, you basically do 1rm to train CNS and then bodybuild whatever the weak point on main lift is. Ignore dynamic work till max effort work becomes too hard.

Re deads, "squat is a lift where you have to keep back extended, deads are a lift where you have to learn to flex your back safely" t. dan green I think. So focus less on having a perfect arched back and more on keeping bare minimum static flat low back so you don't die.

Here are the tips that help me
>remember to point your toes out and shove your knees out so they follow your toes
>the "master cue" - think about keeping the bar in a vertical line going down to the middle of your foot at all times
These are the two things I think about while lifting. Shoving knees out and keeping the bar in that vertical slot
