Two months ago I posted this thread: >>77153138
since then I have been able to improve my lifts. A month ago I bought pre-workout for the first time (Bucked-Up Woke, got it recommended by a GNC worker, it wasn't until yesterday that I unfortunately found out that Gorrila mode was the defenitive option) and it has definitely accelerated my strength level over everything. I can actually bench 135 but I can't do any more than one, when I want 12 sets. Infact currently for the past 1 in half weeks I've been stuck at 110, seemingly doing any more sets with higher weights gets me fatigued. My bench press routine consists of, currently, 12x3.

What should I do? Should I add more sets? Thanks.

Also since I believe someone once asked me it in the last thread, this is my routine:

18-20 mins treadmill, max incline
Bench
Dips (or barbell overhead press in the following day) 12x3
Deadhang/L sits 25x2
I workout 4 days in a week

This is your routine every day? How much do you weigh?
I suggest mixing up your rep schemes, 3x12 is going to make for pretty slow progress if you only increase the weight when you can get all 12 reps for 3. There is a reason that 5x5 has been a staple for beginners, it works, man. You could maybe do 1 day of 3x12 and then another day of 5x5 per week, this will get your accustomed to moving some heavier weights.

Rn currently weighing 160lbs I believe.
I appreciate the answer Anon, 1 day my personal routine and another day the 5x5 in order to gain accustomed to strengthen, as, afterall, my goal is strength. Would you rec that in 5x5 I aim to do 135 right now?

If you can get 12 at 135, I would guess you can probably do fives at something like 165 right now, but if it takes you a couple of sessions to figure out what weight you should be using, that's no big deal. Maybe next session, you can start with a set of 5 at 135, and then go up 5 or 10 pounds each subsequent set in order to get a good idea of what you can handle, and then the following 5x5 session, you can use that weight for all 5 sets. The goal should be for your bar speed to slow down for the final reps (especially in the later sets), and then once you're comfortably finishing all 5 sets, you increase the weight. Sinple.
