About high volume, it's good if you are weak and want to build a good foundation, if you want to look lean (think otter mode), if you got hurt and need to take it easy or if you need to train for a niche sport.

Otherwise it's a very bad choice.

It tapers off because there are biological processes in the muscle that limit muscle growth.
That's why pro bodybuilders who take tonnes of drugs and eat tonnes of food all seem to hit a brick wall and can't grow any bigger, and literally look the same size every year. They haven't gotten any bigger since the 90s
Someone needs to invent a new class of drugs to take bodybuilding to the next level of muscularity.
