What's the natural limit in terms of natty strength? Feels like most people will peak at 1/2/3/4 or 2/3/4/5 depending on their bodyweight and goals. beyond that is extremely hard.
>>
i got to 1pl8 ohp for reps my first year lifting
>>
>>77262270
I got to 1 plate OHP my first day.
>>
>>77262270
>>77262273
wow, the jv football minimum
>>
Yeah 1 plate OHP seems to be easily achievable for most people in just a few months of lifting.
>>
>>77262288
Perhaps, but 99% of people are lifting less than 1 plate at the gym.
>>
>>77262298
They aren't trying hard enough then. For someone who lifts 3 times a week and puts in real effort you should be banging out 1 plate OHP for reps in half a year.
>>
>>77262322
first month even, seriously
>>
>>77262322
True
>>
>>77262282
I'm just saying if you have to work up to 1 plate ohp you can some weak ass noodle arms, like what have you been doing with your life up to that point?
I lifted it my first time cause I'd never done an OHP before so I was like how much do I load? I dunno 1plate seems reasonable. Then I picked it up and did a bunch of reps. Never really thought much of it until years later when apparently here on /fit/ it's now some kind of landmark to work towards.

Now 2 plate, I felt like that was an achievement when I did it. Especially cause I was working out with my lanklet brother who was struggling to deadlift it lmao so I made him look like a bitch by OHPing his DL like a fucking boss.

natty can do everything roiders do with time. roiding just gets there faster but falls apart quick once you stop
>>
1 year 4 months in i'm already 1.5/2.5/4.5/5
I took it seriously did my research ate very well rested well
2/3/4/5 doesn't seem hard or impossible
3/4/5/6 seems closer than ever within the next year and a half

0 to month 3-4 went with a buddy who did brosplit, chest shoulders arms legs back etc iirc
month 4 to 7 PPL 4 days a week the 4th day usually being pull
7-10 started introducing an arm day instead of the 4th PP day and started giving up on legs
10-12 started benching and deadlifting on the same day + arms and accessories, two to three times a week HIT
12-15 switched the A/B to a different model
bench rows + accessories/arms
deadlift OHP + accessories/arms
15-16 doing smolov jr for my bench considering i stalled on it for WAY too long
finished smolov 2 days ago
Did OHP and rows today + biceps + forearms
Will test my bench maybe tomorrow or in 2 days i dunno
Now im still debating keeping the A/B with a different rep scheme or copying some well known method (stronglift, sheiko, 5/3/1, bullmastiff... im really unsure after weeks of going through them) for a few months
I'll get a job by late june to october or november, go on a god forsaken bulk to start squatting again and then by january i'll see if i can find a meet in my shithole

You're just a lying, demoralizing piece of shit. You don't lift and will not post body.
I remember reading about a 6'4 gifted lifter who went on to become a medalling Olympic lifter, back when the press was an olympic lift, pressed 115 his first time.
But you are suggesting the average guy should be stronger?
Fuck you, you are a real failure of a human to act the way you do, you know. This isn't going to improve your life.

/fit/ is full of linebackers, elite lifters, absolute chads who get MIRED at every turning corner
Pipe down it's not that unbelievable this place is full of genetic outliers

>>

No, there is a biological limit beyond which your body can't build or maintain any more muscle. If someone blasts tren they can easily turn themselves into human muscle balloons 10 times beyond this natural limit.
>>
>>77262524
Post body or two plate press then why don't you

lmao
I have also seen people claim that steroids only let you train harder, so the "easy way out" is actually staying natty.
>>
>>77262265
There's no limit to natty strength. Novice gains are cns gains, you're just learning to use what you got, and getting some tone. Then it's just the slow grind of
>provide enough stimulus for new myofibrils to assemble
>wait for them to assemble
>strength gain
There's no real limit, or if there is, most people never hit it. I know nationally competitive natty dudes in strongman/powerlifting.

>>77262496
Bench/rows and deads/ohp is great. Don't copy methods. Read Louie/Burley Hawk/Christian Thibaudeau. Keep A/B with this structure:
-big strength lift (like OHP) for low reps and 1-2 sets at 90+%. Clusters or rest pause.
-smaller accessory lift aimed at weak point of big lift (like bradford or db ohp) for high reps and as many sets as you can do without reps falling below 4 @ 70-80%. Rest pause or similar.
You can play around with sets, like do 4 sets of big lift then 2-4 of small lift, but most of your sets should be higher volume, not 5x5.

Rotate big lift to another big lift when you stall completely on it. Ohp -> seated ohp with high incline.

>meet
Focus on accessories, you'll get way further that way. Big lifts kinda suck for hypertrophy and you need to grow the weak link muscle.

>bulk
Don't bulk, just add starchy stuff. Bulks are meme for natties.
>>
>>77262342
True, I was repping 35 pound dbs while my bench was shit when I started going. That's why flies are more humbling, you can use a lot of muscles for OHP
>>
>>77262265
Like everything else, it depends on your genetics. I hit 170kg\372lbs as a natty when I was in my 20s.
>>
>>77263246
170kg\372lbs on the bench*
>>
>>77262265
I'm getting closer to 4pl8s but still haven't gotten 365. As of the 1rm calc I could have it in a few short months.
>>
>>77263225
Nta but thanks. I need to grow stronger
>>
>>77262468
>3/4/5/6 seems closer than ever within the next year and a half
Not to demoralize you but progress isn't linear. It's like 10x harder to go to 3/4/5/6 than it was to go to 2/3/4/5.
