Why is there always some old fucker at the gym who acts like an expert after getting into lifting a month ago? >there's this super wrinkly skinnyfat dude at my gym today walking around wearing a belt for some reason>just putzing around on a couple machines and with a few dumbbells>bragging to people about how he's been on creatine "for two whole days now" (his words, not mine)>starts trying to teach his friends about creatine, saying it makes you grow muscle but you have to make sure you don't abuse it (???)>randomly declares to gym that he's listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn>at one point I hear him screaming as if he were going for a new PR on bench>he's skullcrushing 30lbs and has someone spotting him>tells the person afterwards with confidence that it's always better to go low volume high reps>constantly walking around with invisible lat syndrome and chest puffed outIdk maybe I should mind my business but people like this get under my skin. And no, I'm not a zoomer and don't instinctively hate all old people.
>>77263409sounds like you have a gym mascot
I dont care about boomers unless they're actively bothering me which most dont because i look like an orc
>>77263409OP sounds like a Creatine addict.
>>77263409he's probably lonely and has no friends. the gym is the only place where people can't escape a social situation with him, so he uses that to sate his hunger for human connection
>>77263409>boomer engages with people in a communityseems like someone you could learn a thing or two from once you put away your phone and ear dildos.
>>77263409You know how when you're a kid there's always that other kid that just blatantly lies about everything and it's usually the dumbest fucking pointless lies and such? Or the one that's just a fucking weirdo, always acting stupid and weird and repulsive?Yeah when you grow up those people do too but they're still the same retards just old.
>>77263541I don't use my phone at the gym or listen to music. That's how I notice this stuff.
>>77263409I'm the old guy at my gym and just mind my own business. I work for a college and as such can use the gym for free, which is nice. But I'm 47 and it's full of 18-22 year olds. They only time I speak to one of them is to ask to work in on a machine or if they are done with one.
>>77263409Id call your story fake and gay, but my gym also has old people putzing around and doing 5 reps on a machine before moving to the next one. No direction, no plan, just enough hubris to fool themselves in to thinking theyre actually making progress. Then they hit biceps with dumbells and begin flailing their weights around with their gaunt gangly arms. Fucking boomers bro.
>>77263901It's like they vaguely remember watching Pumping Iron in the 1970s and think they know what they're doing.
>>77263551>You know how when you're a kid there's always that other kid that just blatantly lies about everything and it's usually the dumbest fucking pointless lies and such?yeah that was meI knew I was doing it but couldn't stop myselfmy mother has schizophrenia and I was coping hard, sorry
