>get on machine>put lowest weight>do five reps>rise weight by the minimal amount>do 5 reps again with no rest>repeat until you fail to do 5 repsis this a good warm-up?
>>77264502It'll take for fucking ever to finish your workout once you are able to lift more than 50 pounds.
>>77264515just lift faster dummy
>>77264519If you're okay sitting there at the gym gunning out 5 lb reps then 10 lb reps, etc. like Sanic and don't feel ridiculous then sure. You would probably do better starting at like 50% of your max weight and then ramping up from there in sensible increments like 10-20% each set.
>>77264502>machine
>>77264502Just do half your working set weight then 3/4ths of it. Don't even really have to math it. Just put it half way between your set weight and the bottom then half way between that and your set weight.
>>77264502>Machine>Zero effective reps>Takes forever Y tho
>>77264898It will cause a lineup behind you at the gym and people will be forced to talk to you.
>>77264536If it’s a machine it’s just pulling the pin out and moving it down one, no? If op is doing back to back reps this will take 10 seconds a ‘set’ tops so you go through 6 weight increases and 30 reps in like a minute and 15 seconds if you take a few seconds between moving the pin
>>77264502You should skip the absolute minimum weight and start a bit higher
>>77264502That's a great and efficent way to accumulate junk volume.
You only need a couple warmup sets.
>go on 4chan(nel)>post baitis this a good use of my time
