STOP doing barbell bench press
>>
>>77266149
>the local calisthenics fag is here to try to get you to do a million push ups again
>>
>>77266160
No. Dumbbells are better
>>
>>77266161
I honestly have no idea how a person is expected to bench press 100+ pound dumbells. A bar is much easier to rack/unrack and position properly.
>>
>>77266160
how come that flexy fag stopped posting here
>>
>>77266149
Post chest
>>
>>77266169
i actually forgot about that dyel. he could only keep on with his flexible bullshit for so long and try to convince people he is strong while curling a 15lb dumbbell.
>>
>>77266149
Even though i do only weighted dips and use my nautilus machine, I would still do barbell bench if I had a bench. Only dyels would exclude lifts
>>
>>77266149
I know its shit for aesthetics, I just do it because it's fun.
t. 4 plate bencher.
>>
>>77266149
1) START doing low-angle incline
2) profit
EZ
>>
>>77266204
Doesn’t flat activate the entire chest?
>>
>>77266212
Incline shifts the burden to upper chest - flat can hit lower disproportionately depending on form, which can end up just looking like gyno depending on genetics.

I specify low angle incline bc more upright angles can start to shift burden to shoulders, which is not the goal.
>>
>>77266236
So 30%?
>>
>>77266204
you are my nigger

dips > dumbbell press > barbell press

I can't speak to percentages, but I alternate between the first two stops above flat for incline on my bench.

This is a thread about bench press variations
>>
>>77266168
>literally admits his stabilizers are too weak to deal with weight that isn't a conveniently shaped straight bar
Exactly why OP is right.
>>
>>77266277
Dips do nothing for me except snap my shit up
>>
>>77266344
Have you ever tried setting up a 180lb dumbbell press before? Its not as picking up the barbell off the rack. How are you supposed to target your chest if the limiting factor is the muscles required for the setup in general? Might as well do other things that isn't a dumbbell press
>>
>>77266367
damn sorry you went to snap city on something dyels can do. Maybe just start with pushups and then move onto to things like dips and pullups when you get a bit stronger
>>
>>77266393
You don't need 180lb dumbbell press unless you take steroids.
>>
>>77266168

You pick them up, put them on your knees, kick your knees up and fall backwards on the bench while extending your arms to push the weights up, then you do your press.

I do this with 125s easily. If you're really concerned about torn biceps then just double-arm one and have someone hand you the other.
>>
>>77266412
>You don't need
so we have a dyel explaining why a 100lb+ dumbbell makes you weak? got it
>>
>>77266417
The point being barbell press is easier to do than all that bullshit. I love dumbbell press but at a certain point im just going to use machines or a regular bench press
>>
>>77266277
Care to elaborate why?

Dips require no equipment. Barbell requires the most equipment.
Barbell can murder you when the bar lands on your neck.
Dips and dumbbell train more stabilizer muscles than barbell.

Dips is a natural functional human movement, barbell press is fake and artificial.

Dips are terrible for your shoulders
>>
Gayest thread on the board. Even gayer than that one with the ginger with bitch tits.
>>
>>77266533
>Dips are terrible for your shoulders
How?
I am doing heavy weighted low rep dips for the last year, nothing happened to my shoulders, zero pain.
>>
>>77266533
>>77266517
Sounds like a lot of cope, try 2 git gud
>>

Can't imagine someone actually being jacked and ashamed to post body on a fitness forum.
>>
>>77266393
I bet you deadlift with straps, too.
>>
>>77266517
>Dips is a natural functional human movement
Nah, dips are a super unnatural movement and they're incredibly taxing on the shoulders.
>>77266559
Dips are dangerous for your shoulders because when you're in a position of maximum mechanical disadvantage, your rotator cuff and anterior joint capsule have to take on an extreme amount of stress, bearing the brunt of your body weight
>>
>>77266149
It just depends on how ur body is, if u have short arms like a fat Mexican or dr. Mike ur probably built for bench if u have long arms it might not be worth the shoulder issues and u should do another thing it's all the same. Hell bench is kind of shitty desu, unless u arch ur shoulders will eventually get FUCKED
>>
>>77266435
it's not that hard
children do this

Fag here who used to barbell bench 120 kg x 5-6. Swiss bar bench is the way to go for 7 out of 10 people who want to lift even after they got a wife, kids, and refuse to become the 30+ retard who has given up in every other aspect of life because he finally procreated.

If you're worried about missing front delt gains, just throw in some overhead press on another day of the week and you're golden.

>abloobloobloo but barbell bench is what I see all the cool guise on the tiktoks and the reels and the Youtubes

Stop being a faggot.
