pullups - neutral grip
rows - underhand grip
pulldowns - overhand grip

this is my current setup
>>
oh and fyi people have this misconception that a pullup = overhand, and a chinup = underhand

This is not true

pullup/chinup is just 2 different words people describe pulling your body up vertically, some call it pullup, some call it chinup

for these purposes im going with pullup to describe it the movement itself

but the grips u use can different

you can do a neutral grip pullup, or a underhand grip pullup, or a overhand grip pullup, etc.

same goes for chinups, you can either do neutral chip chinup, underhand grip chinup or a overhand grip chinup

chinup/pullup = means that same shit to 99% of people, only <1% of autists specify the chinup as specifically underhand or pullup as specifically overhand

to prove i am right about this------- theres no 3rd word to describe neutral grip, theres none, so how do you describe a neutral grip? you cant, theres no word for it

so the logically conclusion is that chinup and pullup and simple interchangeable words for teh same movement (a vertical pull with your body)

and the only way to specifically say which type of pullup or chinup you do is to describe the grip you use

>rows - underhand grip
Wait, you're supposed to do these underhand? I've been doing it overhand and it's been giving me wrist pain. Wouldn't doing it underhand just make it like a stealth bicep curl though?

This is retarded - everyone on earth refers to chins as underhand, pulls as overhand. You're overcomplicating things for no good reason and you should probably shut the fuck up.

No.

Overhand rows have always felt awkward as fuck so ive always just naturally done underhand grip.

When i do overhand all i feel is my elbows and weirdly triceps

When I do underhand i feel my upper back, traps, and biceps

I think it depends on your body and the attachment used, I am wide for my height so I cannot fully contract my scapulas with close underhand grips. Honestly just try them all and stick to the ones that you feel stimulate your back the most
