Is it true that only 10% of people can deadlift 180 kg? Would that even be 10% of cisgender men or all genders?
>Intermediate / Recreational Lifters: A 180 kg pull is considered the "Advanced" to "Elite" benchmark for average-weight men (75 kg to 90 kg). In most commercial gyms, only the top 5% to 10% of male lifters hit this number. For women, this weight exceeds almost all standard recreational thresholds and is typically reserved for elite competitive powerlifters in heavier weight classes.

I doubt 10% of people can pull 395 to full lockout, non-sumo.
>>
>>77266983
I should have read better.
Maybe 5% of non midget men can pull 395# for a 1rm.
>>
I remember someone posted a video on here where a lifter was having a house built and he had the half dozen or so construction guys test their deadlift strength. I think they all could do 3 plates, and the strongest guy managed 4. That kind of fucked me up to be honest, I thought my 4 plate deadlift had me better off than everyone, since nobody in the gym seems to deadlift. But apparently it just puts me at the level of 'strong construction worker.'

>people that lift heavy shit all day are able to lift heavy
Wow, what a surprise!
>>
I can deadlift 170kg (not counting the barbell)
Does that count?
>>
>>77267009
Obviously not
You count the barbell
>>
>>77267012
Barbell included that would be 190 then.
@85 kg 1.7 mts

>not counting the barbell
Why are foreigners so stupid?
>>
>>77267086
Does insulting me make you any better?

>Cisgender
You don't have to use made up terms

kino!
>>
>>77266964
I can do it for reps but I'm obese so it doesn't count
>>
>>77266964
Probably lower considering like 70% of the population is a fat blob who never exercises. Another 20-25% does very little and the remainder actually takes care of their bodies.

Don't sell yourself short buddy. Deadlift is one of the least bodyweight dependant lifts in the big 3.
>>
>>77266964
>Is it true that only 10% of people can deadlift 180 kg?
You mean like, biologically possible? Maybe. You exclude women, children, elderly, and people with long term injuries, then sure, maybe whatever is leftover are fit men who can, with training, potentially lift that.

If you are implying that 1 in 10 random people off the street are elite bench pressers then no. Like 0.01% of people are at that level of training.

>If you are implying that 1 in 10 random people off the street are elite bench pressers then no
question was about deadlifting. i still doubt 1 in 10 random men on the street actually can deadlift 180, but with sufficitent training 9 in 10 probably could.

first time i ever went to a gym my powerlifter friend who made me go with him taught me how to conventional deadlift and i instantly pulled 140kg x5 for a set
within one month i was lifting 180kg (4pl8)

nowadays i do 3x 210kg topset but i still can't lift more than 90kg bench
it just never improves idk why
I've tried a dozen different systems, even doing deadlift last and bench first it just doesn't improve
my best lifts are deadlift and ohp
squat and bench are super weak in comparison and my pullups are good
>>
>>77266964
maybe 10% of regular gym goers
easily less than 1% of all men
>>
>>77267494
>my best lifts are deadlift and ohp
>squat and bench are super weak in comparison and my pullups are good
Same. I think guys split pretty evenly into either dead and press guys or squat and bench ones.

>>77267666
>maybe 10% of regular gym goers
Not even 10% deadlift at all
>>
>>77267887
>>77267494
Everything is Okay for me except bench. Makes me want to fucking pull my hair out
>>
>deadlift in 2026

Retard boomer board LOL
>>
>>77267887
>Not even 10% deadlift at all
but if you have some strength you could pull 180kg with training for it
like if you're from other sports you can run a 6 minute mile without doing any running training
>>
>>77266997
>But apparently it just puts me at the level of 'strong construction worker.'
The strong construction worker went to the gym tbf, that being said mid 3 plates is to be expected
>>77266964
Yeah like what percentage of men lift or do any physical activity, of that percentage how many are serious and have given it enough time.
