Lots of calisthenicscel advocate for high reps and high sets. I used to do 150 pull ups in one session and I would still recover easily. Can I do more than 3 sets with weighted versions of these exercises e.g. dips and pull ups or will 3 sets be good enough, assuming that I'll be doing 8-12 reps in each set?

Go until you physically can't, wait 5 mins and then do it again

A lot claim that I'm frying my CNS if I'm always doing sets till failure. Is there any truth to it?

Not unless you're on steroids for enhanced recovery that allows you to go to failure 10 times a day every day for like a month

Lol, I've been always going till failure on every set. Maybe that's the reason I look dyel.
