Just started using a BIPAP machine for sleep apnea, after 3 usages between naps and overnight sleeping, ive felt some lung discomfort/soreness. How common is this for people just starting on a machine like this, and at what point should I be worried?

what did your doctor say?

Yeah it takes awhile to get supremely used to it.
I assume it's been dialed in by your cardio doctor after your sleep study results.
A lower pressure on exhale and bit higher on inhale.
A unit with a humidifier can help dry throat.
I used mine for ten+ years before it died on me. I felt like I was suffocating on it a few times in the beginning.
But after a few weeks it was heavenly. Rock solid 8 hours deep healing sleep, every day. Never felt better and my health issues related to apnea, low blood oxygen, gaining weight, skin issues immediately changed for better.
Have been without a machine for about a year now. I sleep well enough, but I want that quality sleep that I was getting guaranteed with my machine.
I sleep with nose breathing now and on my side. Roommates say I don't snore at all.
Lose weight. Work on aerobic conditioning.

Just to clarify, you were experiencing some soreness in your lungs when starting out? Ive been warned about gas in your stomach, but I dont recall going over lung discomfort and was wondering if this was standard for most people

Maybe. More dryness.
Sometimes my breathing rhythm goes off and I get air into stomach and wake up and get air out by burps.
But lungs, not really. Get to the docs and maybe your machine isn't calibrated for you.

More like a BRAP machine hahahahahahahahaha

What made you try BIPAP? I've tried CPAP for suspected UARS but I didn't feel that it made a big difference. I was thinking of trying BIPAP next.

That's the first thing they've put me on. Said my sleep apnea was too severe for regular CPAP

turn up the humidity on it

>having to use a machine to fucking BREATHE while SLEEPING

>health issues related to apnea
what issues are related to apnea?

Strapping a machine to your face just to sleep. Pathetic.
