If i could bench 2 plates when i was 15, would it be pretty easy for me to get strong and in shape again now that i'm old and fat? (23m 283lbs 6'1")

Probably sort of decently. I got only about a stone short of as heavy when a bit older and cut back down to the high end of victim weight shredded without loose skin in around 8 months.

Strong, yes
In shape, yes
Both at the same time? Yes but slower

Not always. I bench well over two plates am 40 and still look like a twig. I'm in shape but it doesn't show anymore.
