Why is it so rare to see a muscular fit person with a high IQ?
It seems they're all sub 100 IQ, criminal mindset people. Don't read books, never achieved anything.
Is it because bodybuilding takes up so much of their time they don't have time left to read books and become high achievers in other areas?
Or is it because low IQ anti intellectual people are naturally more predisposed to body building?

Steroids really mess up your brain. It's a vicious cycle.
>>

High IQ people are rare.
Muscular, fit people are rare.
There is a negative correlation between the two, since both require some amount of effort and time, while there is no overlap in the qualities.
>>
I’m just gonna say it, weight lifting/body building are mostly lower / lower middle class things (meaning in average low IQ)
It’s changing but historically you don’t really see mr doctor or mr scientist pick up a MEGA MUSCLE MAGAZINE

Lifting is a single best thing one can do to incerase iq, improve cognition and prevent any degenerative brain diseases.
There are nerds who just memorize some useless shit non stop. Those don't lift. But any intelligent person is lifting. If he doesn't, he isn't intelligent.
Thebissue is that lifting is now mainstream and attract the lowest forms of livfe. 80% of people in the gym have tattoos. In most cases you can tell they are stupid just by looking at their faces. On top of that, shit like tren causes brain damage. So yea, the majority are dumb fucks, while midwits do some team sports or shit like tennis, golf. But anyone with a true intelligence does lift. It's just not than many intelligent people out there and they are a minority at the gym.
>>

Do you have any literature you can provide that shows that lifting weights increases IQ? That's a very interesting contention and I'd like to know more about it.
>>
>>77269823
NTA but regular physical activity enhances brain neuroplasticity, which in turn boosts learning capacity. So yes, going to the gym, as a form of physical exercise, can—even if indirectly—improve our cognitive functions.

I'm in mensa and the triple nine society and I have never seen anyone bigger than I am and I am not big and completely natural.

There is no evidence for this lol.

There isn't one.
>>
>>77269773
Unironically you see it in the military. The special forces guys have to be decently smart and then theres a culture of being super fit. You also have officers just in the marines/army for infantry graduating at the top of their class, they were insecure about their nerdiness at one time
>>
>>77269893
Interestingly enough, confusing correlation with causation is a major indicator of IQ. Really not a surprise that it's seen on this board at extremely high rates about a myriad of topics.

successful wealthy people who are actually quick witted and good at engaging in conversation are mostly rooners/cyclists/guys into shit like ironman and triathlons/skiers
going into a dungeon filled with poor people grunting while lifting weights is not something worth doing when you have better shit to do outside

Astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson used to be built like a greek statue when he was younger. Arnold Schwarzeneggar became governor of California. There is even the roided up jew Mike Israetel who has a PHD. There are a ton of ripped smart people. You are just to retarded to notice. Even Joe Rogan has a 120 which is the average for engineers.
>>
>>77269773
That's just a stereotype. The ancient greeks believed that a healthy body promoted a healthy mind and a healthy mind promoted a healthy body. The Greek philosopher Diogenenes was famously jacked. I believe it was Plato that said "no man has the right to remain a novice in the field of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the strength his body is capable of". Pythagoras required his students to be lean and fit because he believed it promoted clarity of mind and superior mathematical intelligence.

In all honesty, what I have seen in uni is that all the most intelligent people are also the most handsome and most fit. While the people who are ugly and out of shape are often autistic midwits who style themselves intellectuals because they don't really have anything else going for them. Though there absolutely are brainless meat heads out there, you can never really tell them just by first impression, even your average blue collar salt-of-the-earth construction worker can occasionally surprise you with being a hidden expert in, say, military history, or mechanical engineering, despite having no formal education.

Both IQ and lifetime max ffmi are genetically determined, no amount of effort or time will ever increase either

https://publications.aap.org/pediatrics/article/154/6/e2023064771/199838/Exercise-Interventions-and-Intelligence-in
There is a bunch of studies on children regarding exercise and IQ. Koreans even increased the number of PE lessons explaining that this should increase their studying results in other subjects.
There was one canadian study on a weight loss where they also measured IQ. There was no weight loss from lifting weights, but IQ increased by about 10 points.
There is also a bunch of studies on lifting with older people. Specifically tge obes suffering from shit like alzheimer or demetia. All of them show a significant improvement.
Sorry, too lazy to look for all of it. But we do know the mechanizm of how it all works. When you lift, your body produces hormones that stimulate nerves to form new connections. Also, most of our brain is responsible for moving. If most of our brain isn't used, it all degrades quite quickly.
>>
>>77269893
Yes, I do look at them. Most of them do sports, at a much higher rate than most people. Almost all of them at their age are way more phisically active than the average joe at that age. There is even one guy who got both a noble prize and an olympic medal. Do you expect them do loom like a coleman when they are 90yo? Or what?
>>
>>77270405
They are not. They cirrelate with the time spent studying and depend on livibg conditions. It's both the nature and nurture. Put a child of any high iq individual on a vegan diet, raise him in full of co2 basement with lead paint and he will be a fucking imbicile.
>>
>>77270465
Material circumstances can only lower IQ and it only correlates with "studying" as in practicing IQ tests, which is why successive tests after the first quickly lose value.
>>
>low IQ
Lifting weights and roiding and making your personality about "da gym and da pump"
>"high" IQ
Endurance sports and running/cycling and triathlons that make you a DYEL
>actual high IQ
Lifting and HIIT cardio (cycling/swimming). This produces the perfect body (no roids, obviously).

>>77270222
I casually mog these DYELs when cycling shirtless in summer.

Two people with the same genetics, twins
One is raised on a quality food, the other on mcdonalds shit. Who will have a higher iq?
Two twins. Obe does a moderate amount of aports. The other doesn't. Who will have a higher iq?
A person, who used to be physically active when younger, starts doing sports agains. His iq won't increase?
A person takes creatine before the test. His iq won't increase?
A person spends more time in the sun. His mitochondria health improves (a single neuron can have up to 2 mil mitochondria), which will increase his energy level. His iq won't improve?
A person reverses a chronic inflamation that give him a constant brain fog and fatigue. His iq won't improve?
>>
>>77270492
I would also add walking to the actual high iq group. All great men had a habbit of walking every day. Sometimes even for hours.
>>
>>77269773
most people arent exceptionally strong or smart so naturally very few have the combination.
>Is it because bodybuilding takes up so much of their time they don't have time left to read books and become high achievers in other areas?
opportunity cost is always a huge factor, for any skill. some people were raised to pursue academics at the expense of physical fitness, or visa versa.
>Or is it because low IQ anti intellectual people are naturally more predisposed to body building?
i think weightlifting is so physically simple that even a literal retard can understand it, and people who are used to more intellectual stimulation need podcasts or conversation not to go insane during the monotony.
>>77270477
>Material circumstances can only lower IQ
dumbass
>>
>>77270498
6 examples of material circumstances lowering IQ and zero examples of time or effort increasing IQ higher than genetic baseline. If you want higher IQ than your recent ancestors then the only feasible method is pharmaceutical, just like with ffmi.
>>
>>77270498
>If I poison my brain to lower my IQ and then stop poisoning my brain my IQ will go up
genius

So a plant can grow 5 meters tall given the perfect conditions. It grows all it's life in poor conditions. Grows only 1 meter tall, when it should have already been 5 meters tall in perfect conditions. Then the conditions change and it grows by another 3 meters. By your logic this plant couldn't have grown any taller. Only the 5 meter plant could have become shorter...
No one grows in perfects condition that onstantly reveal the full potential of his brain. The person can change those conditions and it can result in a higher iq. Simple as that.
What's your point? That people are born with certain iq and thatviq can go only down? What if a child is deprived from omega 3 and iodine. Than at age 18 gets enough of those?
>>
>>77270507
Most great men used to walk for hours every day. That seems to be way more monotonic than lifting.
I would say it's more of a class thing. When muscles are associated with lower status. It's like sunlight. We need it for health, but noble men would actively avoid it not to look like peasants.tgey had all sorts of diseases because of that, but still were going out of their way just to have a pale skin.

I remember one time I was in Mobile AL and I saw Hillbilly Jim wrastle that night. And the great thing about him is that he was a man of the people. We went to a bar afterwards and he was drinking beer with us. We went to the bathroom and I sucked his cock, it was huge. The guy was a good sport and all that shit. Big pecker too, he face fucked me like a wild animal.
