Do YOU adhere to the Mentzer doctrine?
>>77270391Yep, haven't exercised in 3 months, I'm getting so strong.
>>77270391It's shit
>>77270391>following the incel chud prototype's adviceI will always be an Arnold Chad
Who can get big lifting however and eating whatever, as long as you pin enough.Menzer is a good example of that.
I guess it can work past a certain age but it’s not optimal
>>77270391I just took a full week off after acking my back so I guess I amWe'll see how strong the bench is tomorrow
>>77270639It should hold you trust me bro
>>77270391I like it in principle but I've had nothing appreciable happen with heavy duty. Other HIT stuff like Doggcrapp has worked fine for me in the past but I've never been able to sustain that for longer than 8 weeks. For those 8 weeks it works great but it really needs to be sandwiched by more conventional training to not run yourself into a wall.
Can't I do a hybrid of his style while doing say greyskull and do for exampleBench press135lbs for 2 sets of 6 3rd set close to failure then 4th final set add as much weight as I can handle and do close to failure on that? Rinse & repeat with all the lifts done 3 to 4 times a week
The principle is entirely correct in that most people do far too much volume and spend far too much time in a gym without expending any effort. The intensity of exercise is lacking for 95 percent of gym goers and yet most of them would tell you they don’t do enough, as if only they did more volume they’d magically improveWhere it falls off is that to exercise in an intense manner every session is extremely difficult and unrealistic unless you do it for a living and have all the supporting cast of training partners, diet, gear, ability, skill and so on. But overall he was correct. Most frequent and regular gym members look like they did when they started
I still don’t really know how intense my sets should be. Should I be screaming on the last rep
>>77271063No
>>77271063Do a Doggcrapp style pause set.Take a 10-12 rep weight, rep it to failure, wait around 20 seconds and keep repping it to failure until you've got around 25 reps. You will be intimately acquainted with failure real fast.If you get that "it just wouldn't go anymore" failure you should probably carb up or something. It should feel like a fight on those last ones.
>>77270391No.Plus Meth Mentzer’s Macros 60/25/15 is dogshit.Uses Steve Reeves Macros instead.60/20/20.
>>77271077>Doggcrappwho the fuck named this shit?
>>77271560No one actually. Doggcrapp was the screen name Dante Trudel posted with when he was coming up with this stuff. So people just started calling it that. I could call it Trudel HIT but I don't think it really matters at this point "myoreps" is the shoenfeld groups attempt to plagiarize it so if that sounds familiar this is what it came from.
>>77270391mentzer doctrine is goated for cutting. when bulking you need to push the volume up or you'll stagnate
Why would anyone listen to what roid heads say?? Their bodies work very differently than u if you’re natty
